I'm not really here. Paul and Jo Lake, husband and wife, join Tifo to discuss the process of writing Paul's autobiography (ghostwritten by Jo). Paul's story deals with elation and depression; when life doesn't work out the way you expect it to. The couple discuss the intimate nature of the writing process, their feelings a nearly a decade after release, and the reality and impact of serious injury behind the scenes.

These Tifo podcasts should be 1000x more popular (although I do (embarrassingly) love the feeling of exclusivity). Unreal episode
It's one thing to do a podcast. The most important thing while doing these interviews and the one thing that keeps drawing me back to these is HOW AMAZING and WONDERFUL the questions you guys raise are.
Even if the guest might not be the most amazing speaker the questions you guys ask goes deep into them and makes them speak really well. Kudos
The best football podcast on youtube mate.
I was at the Middlesbrough game when Paul brokedown in the first few minutes you could see how it impacted everyone, as a recall Niall Quinn was sent off within a couple of minutes(all this happened in the first 10mins of the game!), that drive back was the worst I have ever had from a football match, you knew his career was over.
For people that know little about Paul Lake when he was first injured in a game against Villa he was playing Centre-Back in the Middlesbough game he was playing Centre Forward, most people would say he was a Midfielder and he played a great many games at Fullback(mostly RB), he really could play anywhere and was outstanding everywhere, I'm sure he would have played a lot for England interestingly Liverpool had been looking hard at him, with that move history might have changed both for the player and for Liverpool
I long for the cool hands and warm embrace of Joe Devine
Haha that sounded funny. "Who are those people?" 😅😅
The people we spend time with, we grow to be more like, whether we want to or not. The time I’ve spent with your work, the way you think, and the stories you tell have never felt like a waste of time or in any way counterproductive in that regard. Do you have a Patreon or anything? Or maybe you can just get another product sponsor and I’ll sign up to buy whatever it is just to support what you do. #balinghay
Here I am. Sitting. Your stories are going into my ears and brain 🧠
