Kieran Maguire talks a lot of sense. The points he makes are very interesting and with the right policies and strategies in place Norwich City could find a way out of their current 'purgatory'. The people who shout 'Delia Out', 'Webber Out & 'We are an Embarrassment' have no real idea about the business and financial side of football. The club has a lot more about it that is Right than is Wrong and is a very desirable asset to the right kind of investors with the right safeguards in place. Lets hope investment from Attanasio's US Group can be the boost we need to move on !
My impression is the business side of things at Norwich City is fine, although the "product" i.e. the team's poor results, leaves a lot to be desired. Using a motoring analogy, it's like a reputable manufacturer producing a car that turns out to be a stinker. Ok, last season was awful but the club is in a much better state than many clubs.
I’m assuming they would fund an extra stand to Carrow Road which could take us to the 35k figure. Easy money there by just getting more butts in the stands
Why do you think Norwich would sell another 8,000 tickets? - even if they return to the Premier league, will they sell out for games other than Manchester, Liverpool etc. One reason Norwich have regular 'High crowd numbers ' being that many buy season tickets (as I did) as paying 'per game ' wouldn't guarantee a seat.
@@andchat6241 yep season tickets are. And considering the cheapest adult match day ticket was £38 going up to £48 for the cheapest Cat A games, we're quite high up the list with those too

So Do YOU think NC would regularly fill a 35,000 capacity if in the Premier? And do you agree that not being able to guarantee getting a seat meant many bought season tickets ? ( it was a big reason I renewed mine & 'the familys' ticket for many years)
Rather bemused that many talk about 'investing' as a cure-all. Any 'investors ' want a return on their outgoing. As stated towards the end theres no shortage of 'Norwich size' clubs that have taken that choice only to end up in an endless run of manager sackings & fans wanting 'Another change of ownership' ...'& more investment' . Is there reasons Norwich & Watford failed & Brentford succeeded? ...Yes there is -but it wasn't down to not having 'investors'..
The devil is in the detail. For every Leicester there are several clubs like Everton, who've squandered much more money on unsuitable players than Norwich have.
@@geoffpoole483 Theres always a belief that you need 'better players' & to 'strengthen the squad ' ... but getting a lot of unknown players in (& any loan signings!) doesn't seem a good way to go- e.g. i think Ipswich brought in 19players for last season. Its best to look at the areas that need strengthening & bringing in a small number rather than 'going for quantity' hoping some off them will work out. an average team like Norwich were in 2004 was fixed by getting a couple of 'the right players' . And after Farke got a good team together after his first season they should have tried to keep that team together, rather than thinking 'what can we make on selling '...
