Hello I have a doubt, I made the switch from Sony display Z1 C6943 purchased on the open market, I set up and used for a week and then the screen went blurry where there are many colors on the screen. Do You have any idea what can be, ever had this experience? Grateful

thanx for answer. IMHO. For example glass digitizer assabley for xperia z 1 cost 2 times more then glass alone. Why pay 15$ for touchscreen controller if it's reusable.
You can use think 50uM OCA to connect digitizer with glass ... or you can try to reuse it

I don't think that this can be done safe if you will use nylon wire instead of molybden one - high quality molybden wire got 0,08 or 0,10mm. To fix glass on LCD again for LCD you need to use OCA technology, for AMOLED you can use OCA or LOCA - since Xperia use LCD then you will need to have OCA. Removing olg glue can be done using chemical IPA or Glue Remover. I never liked using those separator machine never knew how to used them I have mest up more lcd with a machine than doing nice and slowly by hand.
176cgna Everyone has it own way but all depends how many lcd you repairs - if you making 2-3 or 5 pcs per day it's ok to do by hand... if you are making plently of it without machine will be unefective. trully speaking I don't understand why not make life easier ;)

mike ochoa Use OCA film for this - don't use LOCA liquid since it will comes beetwen LCD layers and demage it - Z1 don't use AMOLED as Sasmung does so LOCA are not suggested.

Creo que entonces mejor si usted visitará punto de servicio - que se abra el teléfono y hacer las reparaciones necesarias sin ningún fallo adicional a su teléfono. Sólo recuerda que después de tal reparación de teléfonos no será más resistente al agua ....
Si porque yo creo que fue que le quedó un pedazo del cover que se rompió y por eso no cierro completamente

Yes you can but you will need special machines for this. Method od applying glass to LCd are called OCA

Cutting are same for all models...... so for Z1 Compact, Z2 etc.
Can I use LOCA? And if so, can the glass be bonded to the LCD in the frame like the samsungs without leaking into the layers?
LOCA is really a problem.... you will get leak and problem on LCD... use OCA technology for this
MultiCOMPL I don't get how it's a problem I have used loca for a while even one time spilled loca all over a samsung s4 screen and it didn't affect it at all. Why do I hear of people having problems with discoloration and touch malfunctioning maybe I used/buy a good quality loca?
176cgna samsungs decent phones use AMOLED, so they are sealed. Everything else at the time used LCD, so loca would get into the LCD backlight layers, you can have best quality, but it will still seep into any gaps.
Iphone 5, I always keep even the non working LCD as I can desolder the backlight of them to use, it's in these layers where the loca leaks into, and I'm guessing that the Sony lcd would be made very similar?

Hey MultiCOML. Will the LCD look fine when you put a new glass digitiser on it? At the end of the video the LCD screen looks a bit messy.
+CyberPirate2008 Yes - it will be perfect. At end LCD are not cleaned yet so only cutted off from broken glass - you will need to clean it from rest of glue and then assembly back usign OCA method

For Sony models which use LCD (not AMOLED) we suggest using OCA instead of LOCA (UV liquid glue)

Damian Woźniak Zawsze klej zostanie - przy większej ilości szybszym sposobem jest sposób mechaniczny i póżniej czyszczenie IPA/dyspergator np. za pomocą multi-com.pl/index.php/pl_PL,details,id_pr,16057,menu_mode,categories,smenu,service_tools.html. Przy mniejszej ilosci wystarczy szpatułka + opisywana wyżej chemia czyli ręczne usunięcie resztek.

Daniel Andruszkiewicz Odseparowanie czy to szybki czy to digitizera LCD (nie mylić z AMOLED) a klejenie LCD to dwie różne sprawy. Wszystko można.... jednak osobiście nie widziałem jeszcze poprawnie sklejonego LCD metoda LOCA (mowa o Lumiach, HTC czy tez właśnie Sony). Są sposoby, które mimimalizują ryzyko dostania się kleju pomiedzy warstwy luminosforu ale jak zaznaczam "tylko minimalizują". Przy zastosowaniu OCA nie jest już to problemem.

Attila Szabo You are talking about 1 pcs... but what if service point who repair LCD's got not 1 and not 10 but 100 pcs..... 2000 EUR (20 x 100 pcs) are big diffrence...
MultiCOMPLL remove process takes like 20 min, there is not movie about how to put new one on...I did thats pain in the ass ,which takes another 40 min (removing loca glue,cleaning,etc) so 1 hour work cost 10euro also u must use loca glue which costs another 5 euro or so also 10% of jobs wont be successful... ahhh no way ! only good for companies but better do samsung as those lcds more expensive
Attila Szabo I'm talkign about all of phones since procedure is same for Samsung, Sony, iphone - no meter if it's odl or new. In some cases diffrence beetwen digitizer and whole set it's 100 EUR in some 20 EUR. but back to point - in Poland Z1 set cost 60 EUR while digitizer cost 15 EUR so diffrence is 45 EUR/pcs....

I did it like at the movie but the screen is broken anyway... useless!
zielokpl Mane people paint cars as they see it on movies/films and efect it's let say "bad"...... so my suggestion for future: before you try on your phone get 100 demaged sets and try, try, try before you will start repairign workign set. Don't expect that you will be king of GSM repairs since you got machine and tools - skills are this what make diffrence when you making every repairs. if you don't have skills to make it I suggest to visit service poiunt that will make it for you correctly instead writing that something is useless
