    Darn smart thinking. Most people would toss it since they are too lazy to troubleshoot an issue. Fixing it is a great sense of accomplishment. Auto zone, I don't think i would have thought to look there. Good for you Dennis!

      Thanks, dude. I was pretty ticked off when it quit working, but I figured it was something simple because I only used a few times.

    I gotta be honest. I’d be one of the impatient people that would’ve just chunk it. I just switched to a different style 12 volt pump (Pumptec x6) but I’ll remember this if I go back to these.

    I had a similar pump on my tow behind sprayer. I found out the hard way that when done spraying Round-up you better flush and rinse well or it ain't going to work the next time. The relay you replaced looked like typical headlight relay for automotive use.

    Just switched from 5.5 to 7 gpm. First one I hand tightened my banjo fittings on with thread tape. Cracked. Bought a second one. Same exact shit I took my time and was extremely careful and it’s leaking stuff everywhere. How does everflo make shit products like this? I have a buddy who just spent $550 on two. Replaced one of the heads and even that cracked. Never again will I do business with everflo. I just watched $500 disappear.

    • @doitallgaragetx
      @doitallgaragetx  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep. I had nothing but issues out of mine. Went back to my 5.5 gpm Northstar.

    Thanks for sharing. I am sure that this happens more frequently than what most people realize. My question is, what did you do to prevent this from happening again? How did you make it watertight?

    • @doitallgaragetx
      @doitallgaragetx  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I went back to my 5.5gpm. Once I start using the 7 again, it will be in a water tight box. Silicone may work as well.

    how good is that pump for softwashing would you recommend it and does it reach a 2-3 story home

    • @doitallgaragetx
      @doitallgaragetx  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question. When they work, they work great. Capable of reaching 2 stories + with ease. However, I had nothing but problems with it. I went back to using my 5.5 gpm Northstar pumps. In all fairness, I was and still am using 1/2" id hose, so that could have contributed to the 7gpm pump having problems. Some washers swear by the 7's and say they last for years, that just wasn't the case for me, unfortunately.

    How long do they last I’m getting ready to build my first system for my son and I pressure washing business…. I’m trying to see which one last long Everflo or Delavan

    • @doitallgaragetx
      @doitallgaragetx  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The problem with 12v pumps is that they can last 2yrs or 2 mins. You never know. 1st pump I bought was a 5.5gpm Northstar. It lasted over a yr. Bought another, it lasted like 5 jobs. Bought a 3rd, I'm going on like 9 months with no issues. I haven't plumbed in my 7gpm since I repaired it. Once my 5.5 dies, I will plumb in the 7 and buy another 7 for back up. Join pressure washing friends on Facebook. Lots of info on softwash systems

    Hello buddy quick question I’m building my own trailer and I’m putting together my 5.5gpm pump from norther and tool for some reason that pump it’s not pulling 5.5 it’s pulling 3gpm and if I open the valve for my soap and chlorine slow down a lot don’t even pull the soap or the chlorine
    Thanks in advance

      If u are using a proportioner, you may have an air leak on the suction side somewhere. Could also be a weak battery.
      I'd love the convenience of a proportioner, but don't want the headaches. I just batch mix and use drop sticks

    • @doitallgaragetx
      @doitallgaragetx  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mocciasoftwash4714 yes. Anything past 200' and you will lose pressure, distance and suction. I'd recommend cutting it down to about 250' and go from there. You should also pressure test your proportioner and suction lines by spraying soapy water on them.
