Thank u for sharing this info! My roller just stop rolling today.ughh… Im definitely gonna look into buying the the bottom piece. Appreciate you for posting this video.
alrighty then... time to find my tool box 😆 Thank you so much for this video! I'm very disheartened when I purchase a product that works so well and not even a year later it takes a pppbbbllltttt. lol I will definitely give your suggestion a try. Great video, thank you for posting!!!
Bissell kinda sucks for doing this to people. The suction tube inside broke, thats it. They wont sell the hose. I took the hose out, cut the black ends off, bought a 1 & 1/8in "washer drain hose" which slides perfectly inside the black ends. I glued it in place. Reassembling as we speak but waiting for the glue to dry. Thanks for the up close look at the head ...I couldn't remember how the switch went in with the white pieces lol.
@@monroevac Just got it back together and it works beautifully. I cleaned our whole first floor. Only problem could be if my glue fails but it seems rock solid. Motor doesn't sound strained from the slightly smaller diameter at all. I have enough hose to make 10 of these haha. Might look in to 3d printing the hose ends. After Bissell told me to throw it away I'm good as new!
So the piece that hook on the brush is frozen. I took the whole piece off and got the belt off. But i can not hardly turn it at all still. Belt and motor is fine. Any ideas. I cant get gear off to clean or anything.
I’m trying to remember, but I believe the gear is part of the motor build and not separate. I’m going to look at it again. My fear is that there maybe some melting done to the backside of that gear and that’s why it won’t turn. Heck back and I’ll post a vide video examining the gear

The crosswave is a pita. You can try to oil the bearings after you take the cover off. Theres a c clip with a shaft and a bearing. Unfortunately the bearing is hard to get off. You rish breaking the plastic. Try some lube. It didn't work for mine. I think my motor is shot. Cause it stinks. And it was sparking. I have 2 crosswaves , they worked awesome for the short time we've had em. 1 lasted 3 months and the other about 8 months. They turn on then shut off. The roller won't turn. We bought them to clean up the messes that our Saint Bernards would leave. Maybe that's why the crosswave didn't last. Who knows. I'm gonna try a kalorik home water filtration vacuum next. It's gotta be better than these crosswaves. I definitely wouldn't recommend if you're using them for pets.
My brush roll window stucked with shampo that dried inside it and became like jelly so the spray did not work good.. I tried open it but cant so what should i do if u know.. Thanks your videos is very good
I have the cordless version, and it isn’t sucking. It shuts off right away, within a few seconds, and shows a red light on the display of a fan and an exclamation. If I remove the filter altogether, should it still work? Not trying to suck up water, just air. And it still shuts off.
@@monroevac No, I didn’t replace it yet, just removed it. Didn’t want to spend the money if it wasn’t the problem, or if the error meant the mop was beyond repair.
That little gear piece that the roller fits into by the motor is messed up it’s been grounded kind of like when you strip a screw any ideas where I can get a new one of those?
Unfortunately they don’t sell that piece. They only sell the whole nozzle. I will check my stock to see if I have one of those gear assembly available for sale
Hi when you say motor assembly; are you referring to the main motor or the brush motor. I assume the brush because you mentioned the belt but wanted to clarify. As of right now the individual parts (except for the brush roll) are not sold- you may find a used part/assembly online. I’m been looking around my stockroom for a brush motor assembly
Ours will turn on but as soon as the brush goes to spin it does 1 real slow rotation then it shuts off. I cleaned brush and that gear but still can’t turn by hand really
Try running it without the brush and watch the gears. If the same thing happpens, then you may have to either investigate further like shown in the video or take it to a service center. Hopefully you only need to replace the brush.
Mine keeps turning off after 10 seconds of the brush spinning. If I don't activate the brush it stays on. It's only a couple months and I don't see any hair in the roller end of the machine. Mine is the cross wave premier so it doesn't have any cleaning tank sensors. Do you know what could be the issue?
Hmmm, I have an idea of where to start looking but it’s hard to say without the machine in front of me. The brush motor or the gear the the brush attaches to my be the problem. These units have a few pcb ( circuits boards) and the slightest resistance outside of the norm will signal the unit to shut off. If it’s still under warranty get it to the nearest service center. If not try to remove the screws at the bottom of the nozzle and at least take a look. You make be able to spot something that not quite right. Start there
Used my contact page and send me a photo of the hose you are referring to. There’s one black tube that’s tucked between the clear tubing. You access it from the back panel. If that’s what you are referring to, then just neatly tuck it in and close the panel
Unfortunately they don’t sell the motor . They only sell the complete head. You may find a motor assembly on site like eBay. I can check to see if we have one in our stock room
Mine doesn't eject the washing fluid. I'm so annoyed, because I've only used the machine a handful of times in the years I've had it. When the switch is depressed, the LEDs light up and obviously the on/off buttons work, but no fluid. Bissell's Customer Service was abysmal, to say the least. I've gotten many of their machines over the years, and this one was originally making the floor too wet. So I stuck it in my utility closet and forgot about for 3 years. Took it out the other day, to give it another chance -- now this. My Pet Hair Eraser vacuum and ProHeat 2 Shampooer have never given me a single problem, between them. 🤷🏽♀️👎🏽 I love your videos, though! 😁
That same day I ordered a new pump for it, since it was $20...before sitting it out on the curb. It fixed it! Initially I forgot that the purpose of having 2 floor settings, meant the difference in how much solution was dispensed. Being a pwm pump, it made sense that neither setting released cleaner, when they both turned the unit on and the leds lit upon pulling the trigger. I had to shorten the existing hose and zip tie that end around the pump outlet, since the old one was stretched out. But, I was thankful to start using it again. I appreciate your response back, as I just saw it today. You're so kind for doing that. ❤❤❤
@monroevac i've done that but I've got a black hose connected to the clean water valve and I don't know where this one is supposed to get back in the foot . Can you help? Thank you so much for your work !
I love your video. So easy to follow. Can you show how to replace the Bissell crosswave foot assembly?
Yes can do! Stay tuned by subscribing

The hose on mine cracked and I ordered a replacement hose. Cannot get the hose out to save my life.
You’re welcome and I’m sure you’ll find a video in my Kirby playlist that will help
To replace the lower hose. You would have to remove the back cover and take the floor nozzle apart. That the way to the hose
Thank you so much for the response. I finally got the old hose out and put in the new one I ordered in and now it's working perfectly.
