That's the piece Horowitz played when he visited Tchaikovsky's home with Pletnev. Horowitz just played from the score but had a very different interpretation (as usual). A big difference is that the left hand was not so audible (except for the loud basses) wich made the whole thing a bit less mechanical.
The way I got so happy about how easily I could play this, but then the piu vivo comes in.... Beautiful peace though, very nicely played!

Honestly if you can real'y nail that slow part piu vivo is not gonna be a problem, those arpegios are huge god the movement is hard to get clean even slowly
(i mean exept for that one whole pag of left hand up jumps)

You have chosen a gorgeous piece. In section A, you play without any spirit...lackluster. Nothing moves or changes, except the notes, in your performance. Section B is a bit better. I'm not certain why you decided not to use any pedal for several key measures -- Rachmaninoff does. The more difficult the part (Section C to end) the better it moves and sounds!! You've got it in you...just put the same energy into the opening Section A! I would suggest listening to the youtube upload of Rachmaninoff playing this. Although, I do not believe it is a recording by Rachmaninoff-- it has the feeling you need. I'm heartened by listening to your playing because of the emotion you were able to tap into in the second half (more difficult!) of this gorgeous elegy. Please do not disregard my well-intentioned remark. I have played this piece for Daniel Pollack who remarked: "You certainly know how to play Rachmaninoff!!" Thank you and I look forward to your next recording!!

@@henlokitty3358 You’d have to put it on 1.5x-1.75x speed for it to be at the correct tempo. And TH-cam’s way of speeding up music completely ruins the sound quality.

Cero interpretación. El que toca (no le puedo llamar pianista) no tiene idea de planos de intensidad. No respeta una indicación. Parece un estudio mal habido.
Estoy bastante seguro de que está tocado en un teclado y no un piano, y por ello el rango dinámico es mucho menor

I think it sounds fine and I've been studying piano for 15 years. Not perfect but perfection is near impossible to achieve
