We've been giving my dog different flavor kibble for 12yrs,along with some home cook meals. He's been reacting strangely for the past year with allergy inflammation and upset stomach. Would you have any better suggestions?

Dead foods cooked at temps so high it causes 2 cancer causing things...all for that 3 year shelf life. Molds in grains or even gets in big bags in homes. And that late event that shows how UN careful they are buying ingredients. I’m even older than 80s, and can tell you people foods don’t taste the same and no one is watching for dependable sources - like no one planned for dependability in last storms. Greed. The dog food places are too many to die for deaths & damage ( plus only 18 voluntarily tested for Phenobarbitals!) , but the meat packing plants could have given stock back to the producers. The thought of buying back what they paid for again later was unpalatable? So they , imo “knowingly“ decided to cut their losses after euthanizing the livestock by selling to pet foods. If that type will do that, what will they do to us???

not putting water down could kill a vomiting dog. What are you talking about? One of the most dangerous situations a dog can suffer is dehydration and it comes onto a dog with the speed of a rocketship. Never keep water from your dog. Especially if they are vomiting a lot. If drinking water is causing them to vomit then let that happen. A dog vomiting is a natural thing Dogs use to eject the contents of their stomach and unless it becomes incredibly excessive encouraging them to puke it up till they are better is not a bad thing in k9s as long as they are drinking they are not dying! NEVER DEPRIVE A SICK DOG OF WATER!
My dog was throwing up after having water. The vet asked me to give water after 12-24 hours.(12-24 hours because it resets stomach, decreasing the amount of extra acids produced) I was supposed to give him water little by little in intervals after 12 hours. He explained the reason as well; once stomach throws out acids giving anything(even water) will further worsen up. Acid causes burning of esophagus and heart, making your dog uncomfortable. So its okay to deprive your K9 fren of water for few hours. Dogs can survive atleast for 2-3 days without water

Spoon feed
Open jaw, place the food as far back as you can without making it puke, then gently hold the mouth shut leaving only a tiny bit of room so they can slightly lick but not push food out. They should immediately swallow. Stay calm and don't yell or chastise so it's not an extra traumatic event for them. The trick is getting the food right in the back middle of tongue and holding the mouth closed enough so the tongue can only lick in a forward motion. If the tongue can swirl around it will push food out the sides. Usually a few mouthfuls of this will be enough to settle their stomach so they can continue eating on their own.
