Why Wouldn't the Foundation Infect A Class D with Y-pestis and give him to scp-049 to confirm if he is indeed searching for a medieval deranged cure of Plague
List of things Dr. Bright is not allowed to do at the foundation rule on this SCP: Dr. Bright is not allowed to convince anybody ever to play a game of patty-cake with SCP-049 Not allowed to convince anybody to cough in front of SCP-049
What I'm wondering is, why haven't any of these doctors questioned SCP-049 on the actual symptoms of the Pestilence? It's one thing to name-drop "bubonic plague", but that name might not have even existed in the Middle Ages. Why didn't anyone question whether the Pestilence causes fever, headaches, vomiting, and black swellings on certain areas of the body?
hmmm....could the pestilence be life and or death?! meaning he is trying to create immortality, or cure the "disease" of death? the way he speaks of a disease that we cannot understand is odd and hinting. 18:54 is a good example edit: and 23:00
Wait is he trying to cure death itself ? The fact that he kills his subjects to be able to cure them from that and also the fact that his corpses get reanimated and he seems pleased with that too
Dr.(Redacted): What can you tell me of scp-049? SCP-5151-AR: The plague doctor, he's an essential piece in correcting someone that you people should have corrected a long time ago. Dr.(Redacted): Are you referring to SCP 321. There's nothing that we can do for her. It certainly isn't nothing that 049 can do. SCP-5151-AR: I disagree he is a prime candidate for certain alchemic technologies that can bring her biology under control. Not to mention the fact that although you people don't know what his pestilences is, I know it all too well. You do as well although you have not been able to classify it as as one of your scps or contain it. Dr.(Redacted):I'm not sure if I understand? You know of this pestilence? SCP-5151-AR:Yes. And yes I am immune to its effects. And to answer your next question, no you are not immune to its effects, neither is anyone on the oversight council you know who I speak of the 05's.
"The Great Dying" all humans die, sounds like a sufficiently large enough scale that dying at the end of one's life is what he seeks to "cure." And SCP-049's behavior does seem on-par with a megalomaniac's.
Here are 2 theories on what i think the pestilence is: Something mentally. The way he talks about it in the interview, makes me think it could be this. "I find myself blessed with the wisdom and good senses needed to root it out and destroy it, but many like yourself cannot" and "The Pestilence presents and progresses in unforeseeable fashions, and has a way of creeping into the unprepared. Plus, he wants live human subjects only. Another interesting note, is that research shows both goats and bovine feel a wide range of emotions (orangutans too obviously). Goats, highly social animals that congregate in herds, are sensitive to human facial expressions, and that their vocalizations encode information about their emotional states. Cows display fear and anxiety and the less eye white that is seen, the better they feel. Or SCP-049 is the pestilence. After all, antibodies are a "cure". I dont have anything supporting this, except he touches ill people to cure them. And it would be one hell of a plot twist.
My guess on "Impeding Natural Death". His successful operations are unable to die a natural death, only way to die is if they're killed by someone else.
There's a theory going around (I don't believe it's actually confirmed at least) that all SCPs are actually from alternate dimensions, where their form or behaviors are considered normal. With this in mind I see 049 as a doctor who saw his fellow man suffer and die from "the pestilence", which drove him insane and made him hyper-focus on a cure. And over time that turned him into how he is now. And by some unknown means he ended up in our universe, insanity combined with how our different universe works making him see this "pestilence" everywhere even where there is none.
Oft that one creeps me a bit. Surprised they didn’t try the route of a junior or student with it. See if they could get it to act in an almost teaching role to get information from it.
I'd assume that the pestilence would be a fear of death. I mean, animals fight for life but do not fear death. Humans are sapient, and as such, we think far to hardly over trivial questions; such as our mortality. In a different log, I'm sure, 049 said children were unable to carry the pestilence, which makes sense, as children are nae concerned with their own life; hell, most kids I've known are active risk-takers and are unconcerned with the outcome. Those in 049's presence may be soothed by his aura, while others perceive it as a threat. SCP-049 comments that the pestilence lays dormant and is always noticed far too late; which honestly explains why Dr. Hamm was turned into a 049-2 instance. To be/feel threatened, especially by an anomoly like 049 with his magic death touch, you'd be afraid to die; even if you don't notice it in the moment. But 049 will notice it. And he will cure you of it, by turning you into something that can't perceive its mortality.
If Foundation does not know language of the Journal, why they don't just ask doctor what language it is? Or show sample to homunculus, he may tell something about that as he knows two mysterious languages. Great video Guys!

Love your channel man.your voice is incredible and your content is amazing.
The pestilence is death itself. Everyone even animals fear death at a point.
Dr. Ham must have been sick and slowly dying.
I actually am impressed with the conversation and the respective speech of 049 6:44
Can you make the Scp containment breach live the Scp 058 because it suited the next live video and thanks!
Can i Just say im so happy whoever made these got someone to help make the interview logs? this File and many more after it will be so boring if its just the same guy just reading them aloud. Don't get me wrong he dose a grate job it just takes away from the emersion of the Videos.
And I'm glad these voice lines were used
All the scientists think he's a monster but really I think he's just trying to help people. Sure his cure isn't perfect, and he's admitted to it, but he's trying his hardest. He really is.
Why Wouldn't the Foundation Infect A Class D with Y-pestis and give him to scp-049 to confirm if he is indeed searching for a medieval deranged cure of Plague
I like how he was convincing himself at the end of it. Almost as if he was alittle unsure if he was right
The voice work for the doctor was lovely
He sounds like someone you would like to talk to
SCP 049 has such a way with words
List of things Dr. Bright is not allowed to do at the foundation rule on this SCP:
Dr. Bright is not allowed to convince anybody ever to play a game of patty-cake with SCP-049
Not allowed to convince anybody to cough in front of SCP-049
I wonder how an interaction between SCP-049 and SCP-1765 would go.
Careful: scp sometime could kill you
D-class: No shit!
Every person affiliated with he scp foundation: NO CAP
Isnt that the volgun’s voice over?
I was gonna ask the same thing
What if 049 is trying to stop the thing that the foundation was afraid of in scp 5000s story
This is one of my favourite SCPs
What I'm wondering is, why haven't any of these doctors questioned SCP-049 on the actual symptoms of the Pestilence? It's one thing to name-drop "bubonic plague", but that name might not have even existed in the Middle Ages. Why didn't anyone question whether the Pestilence causes fever, headaches, vomiting, and black swellings on certain areas of the body?
I believe Tats Tops' SCP 049 sedition video explores this.
wow man this video was great. I dont usually comment but really well fucking done dude
SCP-049 made ham out of Dr. Hamm
The Pestilence is free will.
hmmm....could the pestilence be life and or death?! meaning he is trying to create immortality, or cure the "disease" of death? the way he speaks of a disease that we cannot understand is odd and hinting. 18:54 is a good example
edit: and 23:00
Wait is he trying to cure death itself ? The fact that he kills his subjects to be able to cure them from that and also the fact that his corpses get reanimated and he seems pleased with that too
28 mins ! That's what i like :)
My fav SCP of all time!
This is a really good telling.
I see the list of credits, but wasn't some of the footage from Tat's Top Videos?
damn 28 minutes?
Mortality... I believe that is what he wants to cure. Sadly, it means losing all humanity and becoming a husk or some sort.
"The Great Dying" all humans die, sounds like a sufficiently large enough scale that dying at the end of one's life is what he seeks to "cure." And SCP-049's behavior does seem on-par with a megalomaniac's.
Here are 2 theories on what i think the pestilence is:
Something mentally.
I think it's mental as well.
Thats The Volgun's voice over right?
Great video Guys!
forget which SCP it is but it's basically the SCP where if you die you are still aware and the torment you go through it might be trying to cure that state
Awesome channel but what happened to the short films that were on here
isn't that the volguns voice?
Yep.
I am familiar with such an SCP, On the archives for this anomaly, the lavender was used in order to calm the entity. - [REDACTED], Scientist of the SCP foundation
Hope you reach 1 mil 🥳
HEY THAT IS ME!!!
HELL YEAH
So, Doctor? Your insight was very informative. Have you decided on what the cure is, for what ails us?
Good job to the gamer just chilling drinking his coffee watching the orientation
Da most cool videos and cool video.
