Really? Because I'm pretty sure the opposite is true; I heard Robin Thicke wrote this song and it was supposed to be on The Evolution of Robin Thicke album from 2006. But Jesse McCartney and Trey Songz performed covers of it. If McCartney did write this song, then I must say he has a lot of emotional maturity for his age, because the lyrics sound a lot like a man apologizing to his wife and long time significant other.

I had no idea bloody Jesse McCartney covered it until a couple of weeks ago. Useless trivia: Robin helped out his mate Usher and sang this song when he proposed to his former wife Tameka Foster.
