Hi me again not binge watching but the lake is frozen over have watched and liked your channel for some time it’s that I don’t usually comment I am new to pole fishing and as I said you make many things easier to grasp👍
Glad you have taken something from my videos, I do aim to make my videos as useful as possible and it nice to hear. If you have any ideas for things you might want to see on my videos let me know, I am always looking for ideas😊👍
Thanks for helping us to understand the mine field about pole float weights.why ever do they put 4x14 etc to state the total grms. is much easier. Back a few years all our waggler, stick, and onion floats etc. were rated by their shot cap. Ie 4x BB or 2x Swan etc which was relevant as we used shot from tubs/dispensers marked with these sizes. As you say we use STOZ/CUBES etc but you don’t find many #12 / 14 /16vin packs or who would use 6x14 or 8x 16 ?
Thanks for explaination of 4x14 , but what do the Stotz weight work to ? . convertion chart with styls, stotz, and shot ,seems to be the answer, i can only find reference to shot and styls.
Yes seems there's no real standard. I have been using old school shot recently and I have found them heavier than stotz. Seems its all a bit hit and miss🤦

John, great informational video, literally explained it to a T. Now i need to digest it an understand it all.
Thanks James, it's a popular video this one, surprised me how many people didn't know about this. 😊👍Thanks for watching
Thanks again for simplifying the subject it seems some match anglers like to make it as complicated as possible 👍
Thanks for watching John, seems like you have been binge watching a few of my videos, thanks hope you enjoyed them.
Hooray, i now understand float weights. Thank you so much.

Stotz are the same weight as shot😊. So a number8 shot is the same as a number 8 stotz
Thank you John very well explained, 👍
Cheers James
Great explanation Cheers
😊
I have used styles but its kinda mad that a weight that isnt widely used became the default for float sizes.
It's is mad, there are so many examples of this type of nonsense in angling 🤣😂🤣😂
.? No 14 style on the box said 0.1 gram but on the chart 14 style= 0.084 ! ?
