I'm an 80s kid so George Clooney has always been in my life! From Roseanne to Batman, the man is a Legend. My favorite film /performance of his is Oh, Brother Where Art Thou? He's going to Broadway next in an adaption of my second favorite film of his in Good and Good Luck in the Ed Murrow role and can't wait!
Yes, it's just a movie... But, people with children to entertain had to sit through it. Oh, and for Clooney himself, the batman cowl can't hide your dumbass head bobble.
He just has this new interesting and fun movie with Brad Pitt, “Wolfs” coming out later this year. Clooney hasn’t gone anywhere, he still around with big movies and his screen-presence, this videos are more needed for people like Kim Basinger, Sharon Stone or Jean Reno
I don't trust men with permanent smirks nor those who love pranks so I never understood the appeal behind George Clooney. When he called a press conference after Princess Diana's death, my first thought was "Who TF does this guy think he is?!" He's too self-righteous and his perceived self-importance always bothered me. Plus that 90s Caesar haircut is even more hideous than the Rachael cut sported by Jennifer Anniston!
You are right. Even Shakespeare couldn't have put it better. But, you forget the wobbly head schtick that he does. Is that supposed to impress me? Or the ladies? Clooney always looks like he's acting. I knew he was an average actor when he did the standard Tarantino "come again" dialogue with the flickering eyes in 'From Dusk Til Dawn'. He didn't quite pull it off the way heavyweights such as Jackson and Walken did effortlessly. His success comes from looking decent in a suit and filling the Cary Grant void and being from a celebrity family. The mofo is the definition of 'cringe'. Man called a press conference after Princess Diana's death. Who did he think he was? Some sort of elder statesman that people wanted to hear from?
His performances in Solaris, The American and From Dusk Until Dawn are genuinely incredible. Ticket to Paradise and Ocean's 11 are great popcorn movies, both feel-good and still fun on rewatches.
Clooney always said any actor has maybe 10 years at the top. He managed nearly 20. His run from the mid 90's all the way up to the early 2010's is one of the strongest filmographies I can think of.
Its like Stallone and Schwarzenegger in the 80s and early 90s or Tom Hanks in the 90s and early 2000s. Just legendary career of movies and memorable performances
I have been on the fence if I’m going to watch this video or not. He’s become so angry and full of hate for half of America that he is not somebody that is worthy of admiration anymore. It’s really a shame because he used to be so incredibly talented.
It's not that he's irrelevant; it's that the entertainment landscape has changed so much that it's almost impossible to make a cultural impact. Only one or two films a year really break through nowadays. Let's face it: most of his greatest movies wouldn't have fared well in today's environment. Movie stars are becoming a thing of the past. With that being said, he's still one of my favorites of the past 25-30 years.
Batman & Robin is a "adam west batman" movie.. and in this context, it's criminally underrated.. Clooney's cameo in the flash was all i wanted from the flash, and it happened..
It's appropriate that you mentioned overrated, Clooney and Tarantino. Both are massively overrated. I never liked either of their works. None had much substance.
[A Geeks GenX] That Batman movie. I always refer to it as George Clooney in a Batman costume. Out of the decline of those movies that one has to be the most corny and hard to watch these days. Still, it was nice to see some of his other work. He Truly is an Industry.
Yeah, I have some millionaire family members and they always try to remind their poor relatives of their statuses as if they're not aware. These boys used to do some very nasty things to the children of their servants. This is the side of privilege they don't show on TV. Clooney reminds of those sorts of people. The sort who leverage their privilege and exploit others to live the gourmet lifestyle. This mofo never made an effort to see the world from a working man's perspective.
Ocean's 12 needs a reappraisal. It does have THAT cringe self indulgent scene but outside of that it may be the best in the franchise. The TWO villains are great and Pitt/Jones love story is way more interesting then Clooney/Roberts' IMO
