    Even early spring gets some rain, it slammed down on our first day at Enoshima. Good thing the aquarium is awesome! Next day was beautiful, no problem.

      Absolutely! If you're super unlucky you get 2 bouts of rain washing away the Sakura blossoms too early!

    I really liked going in January after the holidays. Coming from Wisconsin USA where it is snowy and super cold, the mild winter weather was great for us and seemed to have a similar effect for deterring other tourists. Last time when we went in November it rained a couple of the days, and even trying to get to indoor activities was hard with a 3 year old who just wanted to splash in puddles 😆 Though now that my oldest is in school, we will probably have to consider more summertime travel and rainy season might be best!

      Same. I went Jan 31-Feb 14 2023 and Jan 27-Feb 17 2024 and it was awesome. Was really only chilly sometimes.

      That's amazing! It only gets really really cold here up in Hokkaido! Went there in peak winter once and it was Norway/Siberia style cold where your face hurts just going outside!
      Central and southwest Japan feels mild all year unless it's in the middle of summer with 90%+ humidity 😂

      @@JustAnotherJapanChannel next time I’m for sure gonna get up to Hokkaido. I wanna see the snow like a mf. Got really lucky this year I was on the Shinkansen back to Tokyo when it started snowing. Got some badass pictures walking through shinjuku back to the hotel

    Ok, first time seeing your channel and instant subscribe for excellent humor and basically just seeming like someone it would be cool to grab a beer with. Great attitude about the rainy season also, I live in Southeast Asia and yeah it can get a bit much sometimes in the heavy rain but it is still beautiful and at least the heat is better.

      Thank you so much for the kind words! Many years ago, I lived in the northern Thai countryside/Isaan for a couple years, so I've felt the full force of a tropical rainy season 😂 Japans rainy season definitely is mild in comparison!

    Japan is crazy hot. Been to Florida and it doesn't even compare. Would figure it would be the same because both are humid, but Japan summers are crazy. Looking forward to living in Hokkaido

    • @JustAnotherJapanChannel
      @JustAnotherJapanChannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's the insane humidity for sure! Hokkaido is way more tolerable to me as a Norwegian, even with the crazy freezing temps in winter lol

    nice dude, i actually went to japan for the first time in march. it was spring type weather, mostly sunny, sometimes cloudy but rarely rainy and the temperature was perfect for me, i don't really like it when it's hot and humid outside. ended up staying for 5 weeks and just when i left all the tourists started pouring in and the weather started to become warmer, heading towards being unbearable. i never understood why people would wanna go on vacation during summer lol.
    and yes, ebrace the otaku lifestyle in japan, definitely worth it. going to some random showa era karaoke bar and getting smashed with a bunch of salarymen and singing weird 70s songs is one of my best memories

      @JustAnotherJapanChannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Exactly! Many people do get a little surprise if they come here for the first time during summer. You pay a lot for flights and accommodation just to get blasted by the insane humidity and heat (which will keep you indoors in the air condition anyways) the 😂

    I remember one guy on social media who decided to move to Japan without any extended research and landed right when the rainy season started... and complained that it rains all the time in Japan LMAO.
    Talking about prices, I pretty much live in the opposite side of the world to Japan and our flights are, at least 27 to 32 hours 💀 but at least it cost $2000 for a round trip.

    • @JustAnotherJapanChannel
      @JustAnotherJapanChannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lol yeah the rainy season can sometimes be a little rough, but there are a few cloudy/sunny days sprinkled in!
      Yeah if I wanna go home this Christmas it's around $1700, but at least it's only 19 hrs with one layover!

    Again, thanks for the advice! I keep hearing too that August is really bad as it's too hot to do anything other than sit in a cool bar. Is it really hot, humid and unrelenting up North in your experience or have I been exposed to too much feedback from Inuit's?

    • @JustAnotherJapanChannel
      @JustAnotherJapanChannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      August and early September is usually as hot as it gets in Kansai and Kanto, but I've been traveling around Hokkaido one summer a few years back. It was cool breezes, less humidity and tolerable temps up there!
