How did I miss this one. Nice to see you getting back to the Falcon. You and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Stay safe and healthy.
This looks like a really fun model kit to build. I knew it had a lot of pieces, but I had no idea there were over 900! I'll have to keep and eye out for one :)
It really was fun to build. It also wasn't as difficult as you think. There's a lot of parts, but it goes together really well. It also helps that the falcon is one color. I did light it up, but you don't have to with this kit. Glad you liked the video!
Beautiful job on the Falcons. Urgent question: I recently purchased the FineMolds 1/72 Falcon online- but the scammers who sold it did not include the bottom half of the Falcon! ( They gave me duplicate top halves instead.) Now I know why it was so cheap ($125) Wondering (hoping) I can do some surgery and use the MPC bottom half and graft / sculpt/ merge it onto the FineMolds top half. Possible?! Your opinion please. Thank you!
The Revell 1:72 Master Series is from fine molds. The last I saw one it was around $250 for the kit. Fine Molds also made a 1:144, but I'm unsure if Revell uses that one or not. Bandai has a great 1:144 Falcon Kit (I've built that one as well) for around $50.

Looks great so far Matt. I really like the idea of the dimmed engine. Looking forward to the rest of your build.
Excited to be starting a new build series!

Looking good so far! Are you going to add any battle damage? I built mine 2 years ago and it's the most fun I've ever had with a kit.
I'll probably just make it mostly dirty with the normal damage on it. I love the detail on this thing. It's pretty awesome!
What was the channel called to do with weathering? Cheers. Got one of these to build.
It was at www.youtube.com/@FichtenFoo. One of these years I need to do a finale video on this model as it's been done for ages!
