I love my MPC 5K,it’s a MIDI Sequencing BEAST!I left it stock blown out memory I just ordered 8 cables for the analog outputs but on an impulse ordered an optical ADAT Cable to handle 8 outputs just for shits and giggles to see how I like it.
Just got one and the more I learn the more I'm exited to make something happen with this monster!! also i got a ren and it helped me understand the 5000. that head down work using just the screen is more about the creativity than looking on my computer screen.
Never had any MPC. There's a 5000 for $600 on CL. Looks nice..clean. says it works fine. Whatcha think? I'm a drummer, use synths, and have sampled a tiny bit. I love the style of music MPCs have birthed, and have always wanted to try sampling. I have a record player too, and tons of records.
The 5000 is physically just super attractive. I've never owned an MPC. I've made music on a Yamaha QY700, written beats on an Alesis SR18, and I wrote songs in Guitar Pro for years. I'm trying to determine if an MPC is right for me since it's got so much history and I'm very much a hardware guy
The 5000 was my 1st mpc. I did not have the patience to learn it and work it out. I used to literally fall asleep using it 😃 so i stopped trying. I still have it and did not go any further into beat making, kept saying I'd try again but never fully got into it. Years later I have the live 2 and its great. Some day I'm gonna try tje 5000 again 👍
@@hypebeastdad 😌i'm rediscovering the arp with the sinths sounds.. superserious but hard to obtain a perfect liveset when change from a sinth track to another... little freezes when i change program ..little latency
Im about to get the mpc x se but i haven't seen no good videos with its sound performance yet, all i never that classic clear sound but some people said it has vintage mode, but i have been seeing videos from mpc 5000 users & the sound is very amazing 👏 so intil i hear an mpc x se in vintage mode i will be getting the mpc 5000,
I went as far as to email them about a certain type of glow in the dark pad; and they just be saying no. 0 info on if it’ll come back, fun stuff. I wanted some glow in the dark purple pads.
Just got home with my first MPC, a 5000. So far ive found the hard drive is garbage, and a ram expansion was fucking shit up. Now it randomly restarts. But, i got it cheap, and i will make it work.
@@VALENTINE-RECORDS depends because the last one I got wasn’t 💯 percent working. The prices rn are crazy. But I feel anything under 700 is fair. I would look for one from 4-600

@@hypebeastdad yea my bad . Just blaze made a statement about song cry in his rant, about it was chopped on 96 pads and on the 5000 you couldn’t tune a whole program at once . They fixed it on the 2nd update tho.
Get converters for it if you're not happy with it's sound. I should have kept my 2500. The 5000 got the worst sound of all legacy mpcs. The Live, Ren, MPC 1 all have trash/weak software sound. Only good for workflow. Sound is what I'm about. I had a Ren, major regret, same as software.
The 5000 is the best Build of a MPC by akai .. It was one update from being the greatest MPC ever
Totally under rated. Slept on. Love it.
The 5000 is 🔥Way under rated!
5000 is a beast still ;)
5K is a beast!!!😊
No lie, I'm kinda tired of the MPC versus videos... Let's all make heat with our weapons of choice. There's enough space for all of them!
I feel it. To be honest this whole situation is showing who actually works on mpcs and make industry level music on it
Your right I can’t lie but also can’t lie again I love the beef lmfao

That’s dope. I love this machine. I’m about to work on it later
My favourite MPC....sold the 4K, 1K and 0.5K.....love the 5K....it just cooks 👍
If you don’t know the 5K has a piano roll editor on it!!! Waaaay ahead of it’s time.
the most underrated mpc!
Didn’t know of the 5000 till your video preciate you mane just getting into the MPC game great to have options
Yeah it’s dope. Find one for the low make sure it works mine the cf reader is messed up but it has a hard drive so I’m good
The 2500 SE to me is the most beautiful MPC ever made ♥️
I agree.
Thanks for the Gems and jewels I liked and subscribed to. Looking forward to more helpful tips and tricks .

The 2.0 sequencer is pretty accurate. I prefer it over my 2500.
Me too.
5k is the best.
I love my Mpc5000 and how it work..but.. maybe with the Ram Expansion can be more reactive and fast.. Do you have the expansion?
I do have the expansion I don’t think it’s faster
