Hi Helen, it’s good to hear your Mum is well again, as you age you definitely get tired more easily but it’s still lovely to have visitors. You look lovely in all three dresses but I particularly like the second one, I think it’s the colours. I love the sound of the duvets as I have always struggled changing our king size duvet on my own as I am only 5’ (just) and it positively exhausts me 🤣. Ironically, when I lived in the US, I did not use a top flat sheet as it was really easy to wash/dry the duvet cover every week. But now living in the UK, I use a top sheet as easier to wash weekly than washing and ironing the duvet cover every week.

I really need to get myself to Asda(not somewhere I shop) but those dresses…..what a bargain! and such nice patterns and styles.
Those quilts are an answer to my prayers,a pet hate of mine is grappling with changing the bed covers.

Hi Helen you look beautiful glad your mom is feeling better. What a blessing you still have her. I miss mine everyday. I feel so blessed to have had a great Mom. My son took me for a drive to the beach today. We had lunch on the beach and walked down the pier on the lake. Our lakes are so big they really are almost like a Sea. I love the mustard dress on you. You must keep it such a fantastic price. The 2nd dress is gorgeous. I love the slit in the front. My legs are my best asset. Too bad we don’t have this store here. The last dress suits you so well. It’s so lovely. Great deals they are. We rarely get deals like that here in Canada.

Hey Helen! If you've watched Ruth Langford on QVC, she mentioned the slits at the bottom of dresses, so hers have the seam elongated to the hem. I've always had a "top sheet" with my duvet ,but may switch to these new style ones

Something you said really resonated with me: that when I’m between sizes ( like you 16-18) a 16 can be out of my comfort zone. I’m afraid the smaller size will show too much or that I’ll gain weight and it won’t fit at all. I’m going to work to get over this. Thank you as always Helen

I find it makes the other shops more competitive when it comes to their Pricing so that can only be good for us consumers👍 I love wearing pretty prints and colours in the summer as the other 3 seasons I tend to wear black & navy🤪 looking forwards to your next one. It's kind of a soft green. They don't do other ones in George, but the fine bedding company does a lovely range. xx

Hi Helen, I was going to order one of these duvets from another company (night Lark), lovely patterns however my washing machine was not big enough for washing. Such a shame, the concept is brilliant. Great choices in dresses. Thanks for sharing xx
I wash a king size in my 8kg washer.... it's a squeeze but it does work.... Two singles might be easier... just a thought xx
People in the US just take their coverlet to their local laundromat,if they are to big for a home machine,I know you must have laundromat’s.

Really like the last dress and such a great price. I’ve worn Dialect perfumes for about 2 years always get compliments . I was shocked a few years ago my niece went out with this boy his mum had a little laboratory on the side of their house and she makes fragrances for lots of really big name companies , plus lots of celebrity perfumes , Hand creams , bubble bath’s, body lotions etc not just hear people in the US as well. They’d tell her what type of smell they want floral, woody, musk etc she makes them up then they choose what they want. Her recipe if you like then went to where ever they get them made up. But it started in a little Lab on Merseyside. My niece used to come home with huge bags full of samples it was great . Unfortunately they split up. X

Hi Helen, I have bought the Dialect perfumes and love them, the mark up of perfumes is ridiculous now you are paying over £100 for a small bottle. Loved the duvet I always have a sheet before the duvet saves keep taking the duvet cover off at 89 I don’t want to be doing that all the time. Loved the first and last George dress.❤️❤️

As I have said before dresses in the UK are so much nicer than in the US,loved those prints Helen.Good to hear Mom is better.Those coverlets,bed spreads are the way to go,fighting dovet covers is too much especially as we get older.❤

Yes Helen me too. After seeing your video I ordered some as ordinary perfumes bring me out in a horrible rash and I’ve tried many but these are great , no rash and they smell lovely too, very pleased.

I know what you meant about the last dress and the slits, but thought you looked fab in the other two. Loved the mustard one especially. Really good prices for them all. Hi Helen. The mark up on designer perfumes is astronomical and so this Dialect brand is a great idea. Just a tip-perfume should not be kept in a bathroom as the humidity and steam will ruin them with time so they are best kept in a dark, dry place. I have the four season duvets which are brilliant but a coverless one is really practical.I love dolman and angel sleeves as they are so feminine and flattering and the button through mustard/gold dress was lovely. However, I’m not a fan of skirts or dresses with high slits in them as my chubby knees are not my best feature so I prefer that they remain under cover !😅The last dress was super and for £16 - it’s a no brainer! I’m so pleased your mum is feeling better and I hope to see her on the channel again when and if she feels up to it- always a delight to see you together.💖🌸

Completely agree about the cost of perfume, it is horrendous! I love Coco Madamoiselle and it is so pricey. I found a nice dupe in M&S - Soft Iris - and it is lovely and about a tenth of the price! I love a light coverless duvet for summer (not that we've had much of one this year!). I have a 1.5 tog one for the really hot nights. And you can just pop them in the washing machine so they are easy to freshen up.
I love that first dress, so flattering, but the 3rd dress is the winner for me.

Nice mini haul from George@ Asda. Those quilts are a bargain and nice print on them. The dresses were nice on you but the only fault with them is that they do do the long slit up the front as it’s the same with those midi denim skirts I don’t like a slit up in any dress or skirt that far but whatever floats your boat I guess lol. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Helen,is that perfume like your favourite ( we have same favourite?). Is it very similar? I always have a backup in my favourite. People ask me every time i am out what it is. I am surprised how few people know it as its been around since 1979.❤
I'll be honest and say I don't really know.... they all smell different on different people. But when you go on the site they make suggestions based on what you like.
I bought a few and like them all.... I still wear my old one too on some days just to ring the changes. And because I'm wearing other scents I can smell it again, if you know what I mean xx

☕️😅thank you. I have looked at the coverless duvets but concerned anything larger than a single would not fit in the UK washing machine 🤔. Have any of the other ladies done this? Launderettes are non existent where I live and taking them to be service laundered every week doesn’t sound great to me.
I can get a double easily into my machine, and a king is a squeeze but doable. I don't think a super king would fit. But what about two singles, with a decorative coverlet over the top for dressing the bed.... Just a thought xx
I can get a king size in my machine, which is just a normal size machine. I have to feed in the king size one, but it works fine. Or two singles, with a coverlet to 'dress' the bed, is a thought xx

It feels so weird to be talking about summer fading into autumn already, considering what little summer weather we’ve had! I work in Reception Class in a primary school, so we’re just starting ‘summer holidays’ - here’s hoping we get some summery weather in the UK! Although it will probably end up coming in September as schools go back, just as it did last September! 😂

The perfume is a good idea , my perfume is so expensive , I’ve been with out some for ages . But I don’t do online , so I will miss out 😢. I liked the last dress on you . & the duvets , but I don’t think a double would fit into my machine 🤔.
I think it probably would. I can get a king size in my regular domestic machine. You have to kind of 'feed it in', but it's fine. The Fine Bedding Company do all sizes. xx

We call the close of Summer going into Fall if it's a bit early .,Indian Summer and everyone knows what you are talking about. August in South Western Ontario is always fabulous with Community Fairs..bus trips...dinners outside etc. Planning on enjoying it all.
Regarding the Duvets all the years I lived in Macedonia we had duvets with a large triangle cut out in the middle.
We would put either a blanket or a sheet inside this triangle depending on the weather and that was it. Really easy to make the bed.
In the Winter we had something called Mink Blankets..not really mink but they felt like it. Throw that over the duvet for additional warmth.
Cost of mink blankets 35:quid and they were really large.
In Canada in the SummerTime it's so hot. Nothing on the bed except a thin cover.
As it gets colder I should use a top sheet but I do not. Just throw the duvet over me and occasionally a mink blanket.
