The fact of the matter is, in the never-ending dream, the Sabzeruz festival always came to a stop before the main events of the festival were performed. The sages at the Akademiya got a kick out of interrupting Nahida's birthday over and over and over again. It isn't just sheer arrogance. It's plain, putrid hatred for Nahida accompanied by their arrogance of thinking that they know better than their own God.
Nilou and Nahida have already become my favourite characters on a team together, and this is coming from a Day 1 player. I love that Nilou has a lot of complexity to her kit, but she's actually very easy to play, once you understand what it is that makes her so useful.
E-skill + normal attack button x3: focused hydro dmg then continues doing same stance for a while. E-Skill + E-Skill button x3: AoE hydro then continues with AoE wet effect area for elemental reactions. (Or mix normal attack button with E-skill button for a 3 hit combo, but only the 3rd attack will determine what effect continues afterwards. In the video that 3rd attack is called "3rd Stance", to confuse things further I presume) Talents only work if party is a combination of Hydro and Dendro characters and basically enables buffed dendro cores that explode faster, do more dmg (based on Nilou's HP) have larger AoE, and give you EM if they blow up in your face (well you actually gain EM from any Dendro dmg, but the talent is there to sinergize with the Bloom reaction). Burst is simply Hydro AoE that will hit twice. Oh, and some cooking talent that occupies the place of something actually useful, as always. Side note: Since her Sword Dance is considered E-Skill dmg there is no sinergy with characters that boost Normal Attack, just in case we get any ideas.
Good luck for anyone whom pulling her :D But for more consideration, her passive ONLY works for duo-element team of hydro and dendro. So you need to only have hydro and dendro in her team. If teamates of any other elements present, her passive will not activate. It make her team strategy become very limited. Too bad, i just want to try Albedo + Nilou + Collei + Sucrose with super dendro explosion, but it won't work. Far below my expectations
I swear I'm getting her on her rerun, she is just so pretty and her fighting style really puts into perspective just how beautiful this game can look even while you are fighting.
As a Nilou-haver, here is a simple(r) breakdown of her skill: Press skill-skill-skill to get your first 3 strikes which apply hydro damage. The NEXT STEP is what's important and determines the skill's function. Press the skill again to get a hydro aura which follows you and your party around. Great if using for a hydro support, for blooms and other reactions. (It's a lot like Barbara's ring, but larger aoe and better cooldown, plus doesn't apply wet to the character.) OR Press the normal attack button to get Nilou in hydro attacking mode. Great if using Nilou as a dps. I love her versatility, I have her for support on my bloom team (Kokomi, Kirara and Kaveh), and as dps for my freeze team (Kokomi, Layla and Kaeya)

I think it would've been neat if they added a 3rd variant for her E, if you pressed E again and NAs in an alternating pattern, and it produces a different effect Example: NA E NA or E E NA, etc , you get the point (For honkai players i meant smth similar to azure empyrea) But i guess that would be overcomplicating her a bit more

It's been a while since we've been this hyped about a character! I think it's because of Nilou's graceful personality and her unique ability set that also seamlessly blends in as a dance. Can't wait to pull for her! :D

I wouldn't say restricted. I take it as her kit is fully optimized to utilize the bloom reaction. It's fun, it shreds, I like it better than spread/aggravate and it's much more manageable than burgeon/hyperbloom.

The fact of the matter is, in the never-ending dream, the Sabzeruz festival always came to a stop before the main events of the festival were performed. The sages at the Akademiya got a kick out of interrupting Nahida's birthday over and over and over again. It isn't just sheer arrogance. It's plain, putrid hatred for Nahida accompanied by their arrogance of thinking that they know better than their own God.
Nilou and Nahida have already become my favourite characters on a team together, and this is coming from a Day 1 player. I love that Nilou has a lot of complexity to her kit, but she's actually very easy to play, once you understand what it is that makes her so useful.
E-skill + normal attack button x3: focused hydro dmg then continues doing same stance for a while.
E-Skill + E-Skill button x3: AoE hydro then continues with AoE wet effect area for elemental reactions.
(Or mix normal attack button with E-skill button for a 3 hit combo, but only the 3rd attack will determine what effect continues afterwards. In the video that 3rd attack is called "3rd Stance", to confuse things further I presume)
Talents only work if party is a combination of Hydro and Dendro characters and basically enables buffed dendro cores that explode faster, do more dmg (based on Nilou's HP) have larger AoE, and give you EM if they blow up in your face (well you actually gain EM from any Dendro dmg, but the talent is there to sinergize with the Bloom reaction).
Burst is simply Hydro AoE that will hit twice.
Oh, and some cooking talent that occupies the place of something actually useful, as always.
Side note: Since her Sword Dance is considered E-Skill dmg there is no sinergy with characters that boost Normal Attack, just in case we get any ideas.

But for more consideration, her passive ONLY works for duo-element team of hydro and dendro. So you need to only have hydro and dendro in her team. If teamates of any other elements present, her passive will not activate. It make her team strategy become very limited.
Too bad, i just want to try Albedo + Nilou + Collei + Sucrose with super dendro explosion, but it won't work. Far below my expectations

The last hydro character they released, Yelan, one of the best 5*. Also HP scaling. Must pull Nilou. Then maybe Nahida.

As a Nilou-haver, here is a simple(r) breakdown of her skill:
Press skill-skill-skill to get your first 3 strikes which apply hydro damage. The NEXT STEP is what's important and determines the skill's function.
Press the skill again to get a hydro aura which follows you and your party around. Great if using for a hydro support, for blooms and other reactions. (It's a lot like Barbara's ring, but larger aoe and better cooldown, plus doesn't apply wet to the character.)
OR
Press the normal attack button to get Nilou in hydro attacking mode. Great if using Nilou as a dps.
I love her versatility, I have her for support on my bloom team (Kokomi, Kirara and Kaveh), and as dps for my freeze team (Kokomi, Layla and Kaeya)

I think it would've been neat if they added a 3rd variant for her E, if you pressed E again and NAs in an alternating pattern, and it produces a different effect

It's been a while since we've been this hyped about a character! I think it's because of Nilou's graceful personality and her unique ability set that also seamlessly blends in as a dance. Can't wait to pull for her! :D

I wouldn't say restricted. I take it as her kit is fully optimized to utilize the bloom reaction. It's fun, it shreds, I like it better than spread/aggravate and it's much more manageable than burgeon/hyperbloom.

Very cool idea for a character, why is her moveset so restrictive? I'm glad her mains seem excited but it kinda feels like they're being done dirty when she only has one viable team comp
