Nice tutorial, thank you for putting it together. Please make a video that can export or save all the email account settings only. I find this is really needful, yet difficult to find How to do it.
Thanks Robert, this is really straight forward. If I'm importing to a MAC in the future - should I save as a CSV file instead of PST? Or will Outlook always import/support PST files regardless of machine.
I'm using Outlook over the web so none of this works for me. There isn't a file menu at the top. Is it still possible to do an export? Googling my question suggests that it's not possible, but maybe there is a fudge?
There is a workaround. Choose to download your email in OWA for offline use. It's a video in the playlist for OWA on my channel. Then you can use a third party tool to extract from the OST file.to a PST file if you like.
You need to specify in the account properties to sync all email. Go to File- Account Settings- Account Settings- click on your name and slide the scale to full.
My outlook account looks nothing like this, I just have a personal outlook account, which I access on Google Chrome and all I want to do is download an email to my desktop, but cannot find a way of achieving this.
It you're using the free version, then some categories will be missing. If you upgrade to a paid license for $5 per month, then you will see these options.
@@techpub Thanks. If it has been exported, and then later the account is deleted by the company, I will still always have the emails I exported [with their permission obviously!]?
@@LucienDLawrence Yes that is correct....techs like me like to do this to delete Outlook if issues on a PC and then restore the file back...if that step is needed. In your case, the achieve created lives on its own and not linked to anything once it is made...all data will be in the archive/pst.

Mac is supposed to support importing from PST so I would do that. It then converts it to an OLM.

Yes. It doesn't have any specific account or security tied to it.

Worked but didn't work. My company blocked my permission to do this😤
