What an absolutely beautiful, artistic, masterfully edited visual experience. This channel definitely deserves to blow up! Keep up the hard work and thank you for something so pleasurable to watch and experience!
Got an awesome opportunity to photograph the comet up at Mt Rainier the other night. That video is coming up next while we prep the rig to be back on the road!
Awesome video, amazing scenery of the grand Tetons. That's super cool about the other Crosstrek owners you met! I agree built up crosstreks are just so cool and unique, especially yours! What kind of mpg's do you get with that setup just curious?
Watching your videos reminds me to stop and appreciate what’s actually around you. Enjoy that sunrise or sun set and actually take in all the beauty around you when you are blessed with the opportunity. ☺️ 4:40 the time lapses here are fire 😁
It's so true. Literally every location, season, weather condition has unique beauty to it. When you film or photograph your day you get to reflect back on the highlights of where you were, the sights saw, the experiences from that adventure. Highly recommend it whether what you capture gets posted anywhere or not. 🙂
@@TylerandHannah absolutely yes ☺️ to actually breathe and take in the world around you! Wake up early for that sunrise or even just put your mobile down and enjoy sunset ☺️ But truly your films are more snippets of serenity than a TH-cam video. (If it’s okay to ask what settings / lens did you use for your Astro capture? The drag on those stars was pristine)
@WildfyreCreations Those were photo timelapses taken with a 14mm F/1.8 lens. A 10mm lens would basically be the equivalent for crop frame cameras like the a6000 series. For stars, I would aim for a lens focal length somewhere between 10mm and 18mm and I prefer prime lens because they typically have a wider aperture, f/1.8 in my case. I was at 800 ISO and a 4 second exposure. Though I shot the comet the other night and was at 6400 ISO and a 5 second exposure. Important notes are to use the widest (mm) and brightest (fstop) lens you have. Shoot photos for the star timelapses, don't use video mode, and shoot the photos in raw. If you have Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop (Camera RAW) you can batch the raw files through the new "Ai Noise Reduction" it takes along time so I run it overnight. This allows you to literally shoot any ISO necessary. It will take the raw files and perfectly remove the digital noise leaving all the stars and detail. I batch them through the Ai Noise Reduction in Lightroom first and then through a free program called StarStaX. That program is simple to use and automatically combines the images to make the star trails. (I just learned about and used that program for the first time this trip. I'd never done star trails before.)
@@WildfyreCreations This is the program that automatically turns the star images into trails. Available for Windows and Mac markus-enzweiler.de/software/starstax/
Absolutely STUNNING video!!! I couldn't wait to hit that subscribe button. Thankful the almighty TH-cam Algorithm gods sent you my way. Also, kudos on the color-grading. It truly made me feel like I was in fall weather.
Great video. Epic editing. Really like how you moved the story along with the right music. Small world, I was parked at the Moulton Barn the morning of Wednesday Oct 16 and it was socked in with smoke and I couldn't see the Tetons. Great idea to go east into the National Forest. I had my drone as well. Missed opportunity. Your wife is very patient. Loved the Batman toys. Definitely leave links.
Thank you so much! You'll have a new card up your sleeve for the next visit to the Tetons. I almost told a few photographers that were pulling up to the barn what my plan was, but I was not at all confident enough that it was going to produce anything worth while. According to the metadata on my files, I was there on the 14th, just a couple days apart. Here's the magnetic action camera mount: amzn.to/3AmVlDx Ulanzi also sells it on their own website for $20, but you miss out on the ease of Amazon. I use a ton of Ulanzi products. This one in particular has replaced all my past suction cup mounts and what not. It's amazing.
We've been watching overlanding, travel, and VanLife videos for years. The instant I first saw one of your videos I had a new favorite channel. I think you may have something very special here and hope to see your success from the beginning. We’re anxiously awaiting your next. Hope we run into you guys out on the road someday.
@@allyandandre So glad you commented! We might head south from here, down the coast in search of better weather. Camp our way at least to Santa Barbara-ish, Alabama Hills has been top of my list, Zion maybe. Would be fun to connect somewhere scenic. We’ll wing it and see what happens. Your videos have given us some ideas down there.
@@TylerandHannah Yes that would be awesome! Our favorite stretch of highway is the 395 from Yosemite, Mammoth, and down to Alabama Hills! We're in Southern California so the desert season is opening up to us soon. We'd love to meet up, our busy work season in right now through the holidays but we're trying to sneak in a quick weekend trip in there somewhere.
Totally agree. Been down to Rallitek once and i shoulda went with their suspension initially. In the meantime gonna push this Ironman Spec-C until it can’t move any more… or I can afford the swap. Whichever comes first. 😜
DJI Air 3 I had the Mini 3 Pro prior to this one. I actually prefer the camera quality on the mini 3 pro over the wide angle on this Air 3. Also the price, portability, and discrete-ness of the Mini 3 Pro was really really nice; however, with the Air series you do gain a little extra speed for fast driving shots and then also the secondary camera with the zoom lens is a huge benefit for more unique and dynamic drone shots. All that to say you can’t go wrong with any of DJI’s last 3 years worth of drones.
Awesome video as always! Thank you so much for sharing those amazing views. QQ: do you use a dash cam to shot front view scenes while driving? Or do you have a camera mounted outside of the car somewhere?
@@tinac5314 I clamp a DJI Action 5 Pro to our front bumper bull bar and pretty much run it whenever we’re driving. (Although i clamped it to the roof rack front and center recently and might like that more.)
Batman gadget: amzn.to/3AmVlDx I use this for every shot on the outside of the car (that isn't poll mounted) so tire shots, etc. Trust it way more than the suction cup mounts I've used in the past. Much easier to deploy, wash off and instantly use. It's amazing.
