Sorry for the late answer, but I do not see normally my video. I suggest for the exam line 6 expecially ballistic pro performance or scientific anglers model expert distance. Weight 6.
Boretti, right.Thank you. It's a beautiful river. And his teaching was great and I learned a lot from the film. I am a fisher of Brazil and I fish here Dorado. We have great rivers for Fly. That orange line from your movie, what line is that?
dead line roll cast is a terrible cast to teach to a nubie, You don't have to drag the line back on the water, swing it back in the air. Land it (anchor) a rod length next to you. The more line airrealized in your D loop the easier and further the cast will be. Teachers don't tell you this. Thats why they tell you to hesitate before starting the forward stroke.
@@marcoluigiboretti5357 Also, a Spey cast (airrealized roll cast) can be used to change direction and during normal fishing it can eliminate false casting. There's plenty of places on a stream (current) that don't allow you to make that critical "D" loop. Not so with Spey casting. Dead line roll casts suck. Admit it. Yet all instructors always start teaching it the first thing.
Beautiful video! Makes my heart ache to get back on a stream again after a five year hiatus!
I've seen many roll casts in my day,
This is one of the most efficient on you tube,
finally some one uses the shoulder
thanks ryan, i'm proud of your comment, but there are other fly casters much better than me.
You make it look so easy I tired this today & the line landed in front of me & tangled
haha me too but nothing happend :/
maybe you haven't finished stroke completely
Beautiful!
Thanks.
Did you use the 6 weight line on a 6 weight rod? Or would you suggest to go a line size lower for the FFI exam?
Thanks in advance!

@@TallysDias the line is Ballistic Pro Performance, form USA, for me the best line in the market.
Boretti, detalhesI know Ballistic. It is a line of Japan of high quality and performance. You're right because it really is a fantastic line.
