  • Don't buy an inflatable kayak in the UK without watching this!
    We have undertaken an in-depth review process to find the best inflatable kayak UK has to offer, rating and comparing them across five key categories.
    We've also included foldable kayaks as they are equally portable. All kayaks reviewed are 1 person kayaks, and have been reviewed on Performance, Construction, Portability, Setup/Pack Down and Comfort.
    Full Kayak Review Comparison Here ► the-equipment-guide.co.uk/bes...
    We also answer common questions about inflatable kayaks, like:
    Will it puncture?
    How do they perform in the water?
    How hard are they to setup?

    The Razor Kayaks X1 High-Pressure was our number one kayak for its fast and smooth performance in the water, ease of setup, comfort, and high quality construction. The quality and hard-shell-type shape of the Advanced Elements Expedition Elite was next, followed by the excellent paddling experience and value for money offered by the Razor Kayaks R1 Ultra, and the fully outfitted, well thought out fishing kayak the Aquaglide Blackfoot Angler 130.
    Have you tried any of these kayaks before? We'd love to hear what you thought of them in the comments, and please let us know if there are any other inflatable kayaks you think we should review!

    Hey there, my Seaeagle 300x has standing water in the floor. I boat white water with the drains open. Have you ever used the drain plugs? I haven't heard back from the company so I'm just asking around if this is normal.

    • @the-equipment-guide-uk
      @the-equipment-guide-uk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Taematoe, there definitely will be water coming into the kayak if have have the drains open. I generally use the drain plugs while kayaking, then remove them afterwards to let the water out when packing away.

    I know there is no Itiwit X100 for 1 person currently, but I wonder how you can rate the X100 version in between the standard 100 and the X500.

    • @the-equipment-guide-uk
      @the-equipment-guide-uk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Lilee376, thanks for your question. The X100 would rank higher because of the drop-stitch floor, which provides a more solid surface than the floor of the standard 100.

    I don't get it how a inflatable Kayak can be better than a foldable one, because you have to pump them up with a noisy compressor or by hand.
    With the RAZOR Edge Pro, I unfold it, attach the clamps and sliding pieces and I am good to go. Using it since a year now and have been sliding above boulders, trees and other hard stuff, except a few marks it is undamaged. My guarantee runs out this spring and especially for sea kayaking, I will attach a fin. The seat is a not that comfy but I took a sports matt and cut it into shape, that's it.
    My winner is clearly the Edge Pro.

      your Razor is a made in China with lower quality material knock off of the original ORU kayak which is very well made and NOT in China.

      "I don't get it how a inflatable Kayak can be better than a foldable one, because you have to pump them up with a noisy compressor or by hand."
      Bro it takes 2 mins and the electric pumps are like talking volume these days lol how old are you?
      "The seat is a not that comfy but I took a sports matt and cut it into shape"
      There is a massive downside that inflatables don't have, you had to mod yours just so you can use it lol
      "I unfold it, attach the clamps and sliding pieces and I am good to go"
      sounds like a lot more work than attaching an electric pump to an end and watching it blow up.

      @@originlgazza5925 ''Bro it takes 2 mins and the electric pumps are like talking volume these days lol how old are you?'' So you like to create a noisy surrounding for anybody at the beach for example? The most air pumps are quite loud or need to be powered by a car. What's your freaking problem, because my age should be not in your interest at all. ''There is a massive downside that inflatables don't have, you had to mod yours just so you can use it lol'' Lol, because you place your butt on a inflatable seat. ''sounds like a lot more work than attaching an electric pump to an end and watching it blow up.'' Yeah and you need to carry the pump around with you in your kayak which I don't have to do at all. If your inflatable gummy boat gets punctured, you're kind of lost in the wilderness, forced to repair it like a bicycle tire. :D

      @@gloppy101 Bro, the most of that is BS. Sure, there is a Chinese knockoff which they copied from Razor. I'm not their production leader but China is still known for copying blueprints they receive for their counter-fit production. Your ORU will not be made in the UK or even Europe, because of the production costs involved to do so. There is even not a similar model from ORU and be sure, I checked their Kayaks. The wall thickness is lower and I prefer to have the option of installing a spray deck. Besides that, not registering your own name properly, shows me that you care a poop, same as
      @originlgazza5925 . Before you guys play cool, manage your life first.

    Puzzled to be here to defend the humble thick pvc walled easy to inflate, cheap as chips Intex Challenger It is tough tracks ok and packs into a small portable bag Whats not to like against the £800 Razor, snobbery?

      I don't get it he even says in the vid it packs down smaller because it's made of weaker materials but that's a plus in the pack down category right? yet he gives it 3rd to last place????
