    What are your favorite lures?

      My favorite lure is tin squid. Been fishing them for over fifty years and found them to be very productive..

      What you need a $40.00 dollar Yeti bucket to carry all your lures. Unbelievable what they charge not only do the lures catch the fisherman apparently so do the buckets
      One I like is the Acme Kastmaster easy to cast in windy conditions.

      I use a plastic bucket that I got from the appetizing department in the supermarket. Just place it in the dishwasher and it's good to go. But I get one with a cover so I can use the bucket as a seat....

    As a kid in Pensacola, Florida , instead of a Gotcha , we would use a weight, at treble hook, and a McDonald’s straw. We routinely outfished people with this. Best Spanish lure hands down.

      Best three lures:
      Hard-plastics,
      Soft-plastics,
      Metals.
      (Meaning: those aren’t lure selections, they are lure types. Except the “Gotcha Plug”.)

    I love highend lures, I’m not a big budget guy but as an occasional/enthusiast I just don’t care for cheap lures when I pack up for a trip. I think many anglers out there feel this too… fishing is never about cost/performance, it’s a very creative and expressive sport.
    Nothing wrong with the company your love making a few bucks.

  • @miopera40
    @miopera40 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    To me:
    #1 lure are bombers top water, catch always the biggest fish around, cast like a king and doesn't sink with big hooks. And to me personally can't beat topwater fishing, it is the most exciting.
    #2 Spoons, just cut a knife handle open a couple of holes and that's it
    #3 jigs ( that includes bucktails), but these catch a lot of little fish and do not cast as well as spoons or a topwater bomber.

    Beach bomber, need your help. What is the best tide chart app out there? I have 2 uploaded however both are reading two different tide times for area im fishing, packery channel. Something isnt right. Also, what in your opinion is the best surf reel that is already magd.

    • @BeachBomberFishing
      @BeachBomberFishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Magicseaweed or navionix, navionix gives you depths and all kids of other chartinf, but its $10 I think. Magic seaweed is pretty accurate and gives you complete weather. Best magged surf reel, under $200 look into the akios 757 cm s line, it's a beast. Above that, there's the akios 666, and the akios 757 vitesse. The most expensive reel being the seigler starmag.

    (In Borat voice): Is Crisp! Do you like or have good luck with topwater lures in the saltwater? And where do you shop where there are that many MirroLures on clearance? The best lures are the ones that are on clearance, lol. I got a bunch of MirroLures and Bomber Badonk A Donks on sale too, both topwater and suspending, I hope they work well fingers crossed. I also have a bunch of Gotcha plugs and I hope those work too. I picked up some of the knock offs made by Hurricane just to try and they aren't metal like some of the gotchas but they do have rattles in them, I think Tsunami also makes a knockoff with rattles too. I was gonna say soft plastic lures are kinda cheap but I just realized that most of the saltwater and premium freshwater brands are like 5 bucks for 6 or 7, that's almost a dollar a plastic lure, not economical if you think about it. Great video, keep up the good work. How about a video that shows the different type of bait rigs you have used and how to tie or make them?

    • @BeachBomberFishing
      @BeachBomberFishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Iz Crizp! i do good with top water on chill flat surf days. I shop the clearance bin at walmart late at night like 3am, which is when they start to stock. I get dibz on all the cheap lures that way lol. Top waters are great in saltwater! The badonk a donk is a great lure, ive caught ton of slot fish with it.
      I can def make such vid btw, that would be interesting. Thanks for the suggestion.

      We never have any good lures on sale in walmart up here in Dallas. My brother and I are going down to Houston to visit family this weekend, hopefully the weather holds up and we get some decent weather on Sunday. Any tips for what lures and baits to use this Sunday if the rain clears out? We are either going to go to San Luis area, hoping to fish beach side, or one of the piers or the jetties. Gonna use the cheap cabelas retractable rods and if they hold up I'll get my money out of them. Also gonna try and use a baitcaster for the first time, I'm thinking that may be a short lived experiment, lol.

    Your videos are super informative. I see your subs rocketing soon. One piece of advice though, soften up on the hard F bombs etc this could turn subscribers off to your channel. Keep up the good work and keep *Katchin not just Fishin!* One last question, what's the hot bite in April around Galveston? I'll be in the area in about 5 days or so.

    Great vid man. Do you have a video helping choose lure colors? I'm fishing mainly the same water as you, Galveston and Texas City. Fish on!

    So you said that the color depends on water conditions... can you make a video or explain which colors are best in which type of water?

    pretty new to artificial lures so I got an X-rap 10 silver and a couple of caivo SP 110 minnows
    ( www.ebay.com/itm/CAIVO-110-JERKBAIT-MINNOW-Model-AK-110SP-Suspending-Lure-4-5-select-colors-/152702537809 ). I use them on piers and jetties and i notice they only sink about 1-3 inches down but when I watch videos on how to use them, I see that they sink around a foot down. I also feel the action of the lure so I have no idea why its not sinking deep like how others use it. I use 20 pound braid for my main line to swivel to 20 pound fluorocarbon using improved clinch knot or just a straight FG knot. any tips on how to use these?

    some of these are harder to find in stores,yet there not rare at all,I almost never see lures in stores anymore for less than 7.00$ at the cheapest.

    Grest video beach bombr. Yes fishing has gotten too damm expensive. I remeber when me and my grandpa used to limit out on 10 cent jigs back in the day. Also the price of fishing license has gotten out of control.
