Its a great idea to make a beautiful pigeon house. However, I guess you've made a wong decision to install a wooden post, take note that when you dig a hole where to put the said wooden post - there's already a water coming out from that hole, the right thing to do is to put first a concrete or bricks structure before you continue the wooden post to preserve the life span of the wooden post.
I think too close ti kitchen and deck. You are going to have lots of bird droppings all around the pigeon house where you eat and walk and dry your corn etc.
