I wouldn't be against a slow burn romance version. While it would be better for thwir marriage if they fell in love first, getting them to confess after the wedding, when the pretense of faking their emotions is no longer necessary...that hasn't been done nearly as much.
Their mutual insecurity about knowing they have fallen in love despitw their best efforts, yet are unsure if their spouse feels the same, that has great potential. Emotions are most authentic when someone is brave enough to be vulnerable.

“Yeah…” *Thinking “If it meant ending the war I’d have been willing to marry her mother. Marrying her to keep it from restarting wouldn’t even scratch my pride compared to such a thing.”
Out of character: A conversation at the end that goes back to my roots, huh? It’s hard to express how I got these feelings from Listener-San but I did. Loathing the sight of someone without even disliking her and acting like an evil demon for the sake of the people who hate him for it. Anyways… good job once again! Can’t wait for more! 😊
