I am marathoning (if that is a word), your channel. You are a phenomenal teacher. I love this channel. So far you have shown me (a beginner) so many techniques. Thank you. I will subscribe now looking forward to future tutorials.❤
So happy to see a new tutorial from you Vanessa! Although I like the tips on the WIP Wednesday programs, I really miss some new, easy projects to tackle. Thanks for sharing this new one with us!
Excellent tutorial! Your thorough explanations & tips made it easy to understand & follow. You're da best!! Thank you (Mahalo) for sharing & all that you do for us. L❤️VE your tutorials!
Thank you. But you talk a little too fast. I have to stop video and rewind. This was confusing to me. I’m new at sewing. I understand the concept but too fast to follow. If you would Put all measurements and steps in written summary so it can be printed Thank you.
How did you come up with the measurement of 35 inches for the body of the pillowcase? My pillows are a bit bigger 14x19. So I add 2 inches to 14 and cut the width 16 inches, but what would the length be? Should I add 17 inches, like you did? Sorry for my ignorance!
Hi Can u give me cut measurements for a 14x20 travel pillow. I cannot seem to find it and I can’t find description box below.thank u Marie. Thank u thank u
Love it. Love it! What great craft and great tutorial. Your fabric selection was gorgeous I can wait to start making them for gifts. Thank you so much for sharing.
You can if you want too. I don’t because the quality fabrics only shrink 1-3% and there is more than enough room in the pillowcase to allow for that without affecting the fit of the pillow form inside. Hope that helps!
Vanessa, these pillows are a hit. The husband and grandson absolutely love these pillows so much, they’re taking them everywhere while we’re on vacation.
What a fantastic idea! I hadn't thought about making one that I could use on long flights between my home country USA and my resident country Greenland! I spend a lot of hours in the air when I go home to see my adult children and the grands!! Thank you so much for sharing this really cool idea!! ;) :) :) :)
Hi Vanessa good afternoo. I'm new to your channel and especially sewing. Thanks for sharing the video looks easy to do. A friend recommended your channel and how good you are at explaining. I'll appreciate it if it's not too much trouble I would like to know if you can make a pattern for this pillow I bought it at Walmart where I live in Ohio. Measurements are 12"×16" Have a blessing day
Wonderful! I've made pillowcases before and although I know about French seams I've never done on a case. My grandsons are going on a road trip next month so I am inspired to make them a treat. I ordered the forms (yep, using your link!) and will start making the cases later today. Thanks for sharing this tutorial!
YOUR GREAT NOW I UNDER STAND THESE A LOT BETTER I HAVE TRIED THESE OVER N OVER NOW I UNDER STAND THESE A LOT BETTER THANK YOU SO MUCH GOD BLESS YOU N FAMILY
Good tutorial, Thanks Vanessa. This method of cutting the length in 1 piece makes a nice bottom/end to the case, and I like doing the cuff and accent in 2 even widths.
I will have to do this burrito sewing! I appreciate you explaining step by step. I purchased that #4 bundle you are making this with and will make the same pillow case (a little larger)! Thanks again.
@@TheCraftyGemini Vanessa would you consider selling ur small pcs of scrap? I do crumb and u mean crumb quilting and I’m alway looking for pcs ? Would u like my email address
I love this tutorial but being as the video is over 12 minutes and you don't show the cutting of the fabric, don't show us most of the sewing, or cutting all four corners, I don't understand how you think it could be just a 10 minute project...😂. Realistically for most of us this is at least a half an hour project if not 45 minutes from start to finish.

It's as though you're reading my mind! I have a travel size pillow form that I was going to just wing it for a cover
There you go! 🤪 Just for you!

Why not make the body wider and fold it so there aren’t two seams?
Adorable! Think I can get 3 done by tomorrow for the 3 grands heading out on a camping vacation?!? You betcha!
How fun Susie! Make sure you post pics!
You can do ittt
Absolutely!! Easy peasy for you! Have fun!
I love the bright colors and the neatly finished seams. Great tutorial. Thank you!

I have been making a lot of pillowcases from a different instructor. This one is far superior. Wish i had found it sooner. Thanks!
Glad to help!

My travel pillow measures 11x15. What size should I cut the body fabric?

Thank you for this excellent tutorial! I’m making one for my grandson! Can’t wait! 👍
any chance you could do this with a flap to cover the pillow and to keep it from falling out?
LOVE the fabric!
Hi Vanessa, For the pillow case projects would you prewash the fabric? Thanks
You can if you want too. I don’t because the quality fabrics only shrink 1-3% and there is more than enough room in the pillowcase to allow for that without affecting the fit of the pillow form inside. Hope that helps!

Yay!! Love to hear that!
Super cute for any age, but especially for kids, thanks!
Right! I even made one for myself for long road trips. 😂😍

Exactly what I needed! Thanks, Vanessa!

Great tutorial. I made two per your directions, but I think next time, I’ll skip the accent strip. It was so hard to sew over that bulk.

It is such a joy to witness your growth. Besitos enormes.
Awesome! I like that you modified the body to be one piece, folded and then completed.

Do you have a tutorial on that cute basket ? (I have not searched yet sorry)
Thank you so much!!! Great tutorial. ❤
Hahahahaha. “Other supplies I recommend you gather . . . a sewing machine (that works).”😂😆🤣 You crack me up! 😝
You’d be surprised how many people I’ve had show up to class with a sewing machine that doesn’t work. 🤦🏽♀️😂

You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!
You talk way too fast 😮
You can slow the video down using the gear icon on the bottom right of the video player. 😁
Any thanks, would you please do a tutorial for a rectangular envelope pillow?
Oops...Many
Lady, you are amazing.
I did it! 😊😊😊
Yay!

Yay! Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. You will love working with that fabric, too! It’ll look fab! 👌🏽🙌🏽❤️
