Reading Plans for the Rest of the Year | End of Year Book Tag 2023

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 5 ก.พ. 2025
- Hey everyone! It's already November (how did that happen?!) and we're closing in on the last few weeks of the year. I wanted to sit down and chat about my reading plans for what remains of 2023, what better way than a book tag?
QUESTIONS
1. Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
2. Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
3. Is there a new release you're still waiting for?
4. What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
5. Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?
6. Have you already started making reading plans for next year?

I had my eyes on Some of Us Just Fall as well, it sounds really interesting.
The Swedish books you showed look so whimsical! Lovely to see what you are looking forward to reading at the end of the year.
Thank you, Kate! 🩷 I have started to find more and more Swedish books I am interested in, it’s a snowball effect of one leading me on to the other.
I love your sweater no.18! I just finished mine this week 😊
Thank you, Emily!! It’s such a nice pattern 👍
That norse mythology book looks gorgeous. I am committing to a period of reading the books I have before buying more. Space is an issue! Glad you will join Remember December.
It really is - I can’t wait to sit down with it a cold dark evening in November/December. Same here, Ros! Good luck to us both.
I also thought your sweater is lovely. :) Good luck in finding a way to better manage your book buying / acquisition. I've had similar difficulties with books (+ a couple of other items, to be honest). I think what has helped me the most is just to remember that these strategies or limits are really a form of self-care, or even self-love, rather than punishment.
Oh thank you, Robyn! 💜 Haha, same - and yes, that is a lovely way to think about it. Especially since I do feel it’s starting to make me feel chaotic, like I barely know what I already have and I sometimes feel like I’m loosing my train of thought. Thank you for sharing!
im literally re/reading the lord of the rings trilogy rn ! am currently on the two towers and rly enjoying the andy serkis audiobooks... its a great autumnal read definitely & also very beautiful and escapist imo
Yay!! Oh I am so excited to get to them. I’m thinking I might just do a very Tolkien heavy December since I want to read some of his other things soon too. 🩷
@@CuriousReader oooh nice ! i actually had only ever read fellowship so the others are new to me but i know the films / story so well it feels as comfroting as a reread but just like one i've forgotten some of the specific details of. i also wanna get to the silmrillion at some point soonish !
Same about The Silmarillion! I started it a few years back but want to get back to it@@actual-spinster
