Looks good, glad they're back and competitive. My last Celebrity cruise was in 2019, Blu on Eclipse, when they were having major supply chain shortage. No maple syrup after we left Canada, and no pineapple while we're docked in Hawaii? My main complaint was other than salads with minimal garnish, we went 12 nights with no vegetables. I even took an offer of half price specialty dining lunch, just to get a servicing of green beans.
Hey! Yes, I agree about the lack of veggies. Very minimal amounts served up from what I remember. The odd slice of carrot or cauliflower, but not much else. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. David
Another great video David I thought the breakfast on your balcony looked so lovely and relaxing Definitely strawberry jam for the scones Looking forward to your next video 😊
@andrewgrant1982 Thanks for watching the video. The Eclipse is a lovely ship with lots to offer. Personally I thought the Tuscan Grille had lost its sparkle. There were cutbacks for sure. Thanks again, David
Advice from someone that has cruised 22 times on 6 Celebrity ships in 16 years ... 1. Mr. "Cruise Show UK" is right in saying not to panic. RELAX! 2. Do not rush. Do not take everything all at once, because your warm/hot food will soon get cold. Instead ... plate only your cold food to start (for example, fruit, cereal, muesli, juice) and take it to your table. Eat none, part, or all of it -- as you please. Leave something (e.g., a jacket, a spouse, etc.) at the table -- to protect your food from being picked up by mistake! 3. Now go back and plate your warm/hot food (main course, side dish[es], coffee/tea). (I highly recommend the made-to-order omelets.) Go back to your table and enjoy everything that you have thus far taken. 4. Finally go back yet again and choose your dessert (whether it be something light [a "danish" or "chocolate croissant] or something more substantial [such as a waffle with compote and whipped cream]). Return to your table and finish your banquet with a flourish!
Not sure how much actually value is in this video. Certainly it is great seeing all the various dishes, however, he rates foods too heavily based on his own British preferences not how well the food performs based on what it is supposed to be. I know that sounds nitpicky maybe but... He was at the buffet and looked at breakfast sausages from 10 feet away and pronounced them under done. Probably influenced by the English tendency to over cook their "sausages". He also complained that the butter at Blu wasn't salted. Really. I have a solution, pick up the salt shaker and shake it.
I'm also in the "no sugar" camp ... and there's so much sugar in that dessert already that it's a complete joke to boast about not adding even more! Those who can eat sugar might want more, while those of us who can't won't be ordering it anyway. It really is a waste of everyone's time!
@@CruiseShowUK First time ive watched your videos, I cant eat sugar or drink but I would never show up and cry, great video, now block those cry babies and carry on ps anyone who isnt supposed to eat sugar sure as anything should know they cant eat a banana anyway
I love the straight forward and detailed discussion of each meal. I can listen to him all day.
Thank you so much for the comments, it makes it all worthwhile. Very best wishes, David

Thanks Jane!
I had my 40th birthday on Eclipse in 2022, we had my birthday dinner at Tuscan Grille, and I couldn’t fault it

Sometimes I do get overwhelmed with so many choices of food. I enjoy food but have to stop eating before I stuff myself into feeling horrible.
I know right! Cruise ships have so much food to offer! Restraint is definitely needed.

Some of us can’t have sugar! Don’t waste my time with that is unfair, they’re trying to include everyone
I’m sorry. It was a tongue in cheek statement, hope I didn’t upset you.
