@@trvman1he may have blown the point that you chose to glean from it. But Seinfelds point is that even reversing and flipping the table on "if I was black" is just not what he is about, he is not making any political, racial statements etc. he doesn't care about making points, he doesn't care about talking about it, he just wants comedy and getting baited into a "if I was black" would also be anti comedy, cause it makes a statement about the world and not about pointing out something funny

Seinfeld was mostly about New Yorker friends. Blacks have had their own shows with mostly their own culture and humor, and they were popular with many types of Americans. Comedy is based on what is funny or humorous about life. It involves everyone, and if it's funny, then people will like it. People will identify with their own kind of friends, family, and neighborhoods. Each is different, and tv producers are going to back what draws the most viewers and money. It's pointless to bring up race in an interview of a successful performer. Just enjoy and quit trying to poison peoples minds by finding fault with everything everyone says and does.

Comedians are generally charismatic and provide good social commentary. As the only way to continue to be successful is to keep writing jokes and the biggest source of comedy is the society you are a part of.
Comedians who aren't good at social commentary have short careers as their schstick becomes tired. Think carrot top or Dane cook.
