Very good video. Could it be possible, that the sensor should be installed in different direction? There are some videos on TH-cam where they change the rimband after 5 years in which the original sensor is in different direction. From the view of a physican the torque From the rotation will the be on the screw.
Thanks, I'm glad you like the video ! For me the orientation of the TPMS sensor looks ok, it's pointing backwards when you follow the turning direction of the wheel. According to the little information I could find this should be the correct way. So far they are still tight 🙏🙂Thanks for the reply 👍 & drive safe 👍
Hello, they adjust automatically. After you changed one wheel you have to ride for about 5 minutes. Then you get a pop-up on the screen that the sensor is connected and you can do the same for the second wheel.
Hello, when you change the original wheels to the spoke wheels, first change the front wheel and ride 5min untill the tpms sensor of the new front wheel is connected (popup on display). Then change the rear wheel.
One question I have spoked wheels before I install will the wheels need balancing by any chance? What tyre pressure did you set on rear wheel when you installed the front wheel?
Hello, best is to balance the wheels when you fit the tyres.... as far as I remember I used a tyre pressure, 2.4 & 2.7 or something, not too much lower than with road tyres....
Hello, I had to do the same to switch back to the original wheels, first one wheel, riding for 5 minutes till the tpms connected, and then the other wheel. @geneshaw1234
Thanks for getting back to me! I figured this would be the case but good to know for sure. I am probably just going to stay with the stock wheels as I don't do enough serious off roading to justify the added hassle. They do look awesome though!
👍 Yeah it's an expensive modification but I recently was on a 6 days offroad adventure and I was happy that I made the choise. I had no worries riding bumpy offroad tracks 🙂@@geneshaw1234
Hello, the sensors are the same. The valve and sensor are together so you have to change them both or buy the spoke wheel set with new TPMS sensors and valves completely like I did (so I can change the wheels to road/offroad setup).
I've changed my wheels and here's the weight without brakedisc and with a tyre. Original wheels : Front 10.3 kg Rear 13.4 kg. Spoke wheels : Front 11.1 kg rear 14.3 kg.
Attenzione ragazzi !!
Great tip with the soapy water- thx. Hmm, I wonder why the spokes don't get the right-angle valves?
Nice tutorial! Thanks!
Are the spacers of the front wheels different? I have bought two second hand spoke wheels but the spacers are missing...🤔
Thanks 🙏, As I remember the spacers are the same, so don't worry 🙂
@@FlamesAdventureS thank you! Pfiuhhh

How much do you spend in the entire kit for both wheels combo.
Wheels, tpms sensors, rimband & gasket rubbers are all in 1 kit. The price was €945. But I waited to buy till black friday to get a 20% discount
Hello, do the pressure sensors adjust automatically, or do you have to go to the KTM workshop to activate it?

@@FlamesAdventureSi’ve changed both at the same time…but it does nothing, do you know why?

how are the rims holding up,, I have a 1290 s and my alloy rims are bending,, but KTM has the spoke wheels and the orange wheels which cost $1500
Do your alloy rims bend due to off-road use? My alloy wheels are OK. For Offroad I switch to spoke wheels....
@@FlamesAdventureS my alloy rims bent on some small pot holes on the road,, already ordered the spoke wheels

Do you have to do the same process of doing one wheel at time to connect the TPMS sensors when switching bag to the original mag wheels?
I let you know, when I change them back 👍

Hi, the sensors are the same of the original wheels? Is enough to change the valve or all sensor?
Thank :)

@@FlamesAdventureS If I buy the sensors with the code provided in the description, will I also receive the valves like in the video?
Yeah the tpms sensor and valve are together

Can you compare the weight of the mag wheels and spoke wheels.
When I change them back, I'll measure the weight 👍

But why loctite on the brake caliper screws... Why… 😓
Because you can't afford them to come loose 🙂, it's also in the manual to apply loctite 245 on them. Cheers 👍!
