I have seen a few videos like these from different people. The first question I always ask is: With such a great collection why not digitize it and put it on a plex server. You can create your own streaming service and stream your movies anywhere you are. I have hundreds of blu-ray movies. All in boxes in my basement, but all digitized with MakeMkv in original format and sound. Just a thought. Someone wants to watch a movie, open up plex and just choose a movie.
Believe it or not I was thinking about this today, main factor is cost for storage (harddrives) server etc, then the time to do it, I have to decide to do it sooner rather than later. I actually like this idea since I will have them in both forms. Thanks for watching and maybe ill ask you about your setup and costs.
1:22 what I do is I just keep a list of horror movies that I want to buy on my notes app on my phone. & then when I get the movie I delete it off the list so that that way I know I already have it
Good information, I subscribed. I use a free android app I got many years and phones ago. You save it all to the cloud and when you get a new phone you just download it all again. I have about 1300 titles and you really need to have it all with you when you go shopping. Do you have 4K yet? I just started on that.
Hi, yes an app is a must have, you mind sharing the name of the app. into 4K is the future, I like that is region free, I do not have many 4K's but will try to get newer movies in this format. Thank you for watching and the sub.
Can you recommend a bar code scanning app for organizing by genre and alphabetize DVDs? I have probably 2k DVDs to organize, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Physical media is better than digital
I do prefer physical media, but digital has its pros.
Yeah I just love collecting physical because of the beautiful artwork on the cases and some of the exclusive content
@@ethanknight8123 and of course there are many movies that are not on any streaming service. Or that can be banned and you would be SOL
Ya
@@Romeroland: Don't you have a microphone that you can use? I could burly hear you.
Luv that Bond box ✨😎⚡ planning on picking 1 up 🤙

Ok i thought I was having OCD with my movie collection. I'm not alone in this.
I’m thinking of sorting my movies by studio
Me too, I am always looking at how I should
they look good when organizing by studio, especially the Disney and Warner Brothers.

The app has a very clever name. It's called "Movie Collection". I would probably use something else if I was starting now.
Do you mind sharing what local store you got the shelves from?
It was a local store in Mexico City
Wow thanks this actually helped a lot
Tip #1 get a bigger house with an extra room and buy a shit ton of bookshelves.
