Colin Cowherd and former Cowboys HC and new Ring of Honor inductee Jimmy Johnson reflect on the game, and if the Cowboys were lucky to escape with a win. As a lifelong cowboys fan, if you saw Jimmy on the mic accepting that award and the reaction some of the greatest players in NFL history had to him, then think about your Dave Campo's Jason Garrets even Mike Mccarthy, it's easy to see why there's been a drout for 30 years.
Maybe McCarthy should get some Lessons from Jimmy Johnson.

If the refs called the tripping call right on Hutchinson Detroit wouldn't been a 2 point try .

The tripping penalty should of:
A) never been called
B) called on the right player if it was
Either way, the Cowboys shouldnt of had to deal with 1st and 25 and clock stoppage after an 8 yard run. The Lions should of never had a chance to score again.
If that would've been any other team winning like that , they would say what a tuff gritty win.

There was still time enough in the dal-det game for Dallas to take a few out route throws and get in FG range with a time out

Dallas didn't get a lucky win! There were some very dodgy calls consistently going the same way! Yes Dan's PAT debacle didn't help but if someone's on the take and it is suspicious, sooner or later even the village idiots down at the IRS are going to figure out that they're not getting their cut. And it is going to be at about at that time things are going to get real for the NFL as they are responsible for enforcing the rules as written.

Why is everybody failing to mention the fake tripping call on Hendershot instead of Hutchinson on the drive before DET 2pt.

Not only that but the play where they tried to get 2 linemen to report which you cant do, that play was also an illegal formation, so regardless whether or not the correct linemen did report the play was still invalid due to the illegal formation. The funny part about the play call to throw it instead of running the ball to make the lions use there last time out is the one reason Mike McCarthy fired Kellen Moore is play calling like that supposedly. McCarthy criticized for Moore throwing it in obvious running situations.
Ummm.... Maybe they're throwing it because Hutchison tried to trip Pollard but they called the trip on Dallas and pushed them back to midfield with a 1st and 25 instead of calling it on Detroit. If called correctly we were on the 30,Pollard ran for 7 so that would be the 23yrd line, then add 15 for the tripping pits Dallas at the 8yrd line with a 1st and goal..... That would've more than likely ended that game.... Even if they did half the distance to the goal Dallas would've been on the 12....if they don't call tripping at all it's a 7yrd run making it 2nd and 3 from the 23 and that would've also more than likely ended the game.... Let's say Dallas loses on the 2point conversion, would we be making this big of a fuss over the tripping penalty....I bet not
Making a mistake during a play is one thing. Making a mistake when a player is standing right in front of you, speaking directly to you, about the very next play is something completely different. Incompetence at best, in on the take at worst.
Who knew, what those players said to the ref, both three players were there, and 70 had reported himself two times before. The bottom line is Decker admitted he only said “ report “Well done Decker, report of what.
Play was an illegal formation regardless which would have made the play invalid. You cant report to lineman. They passed the ball to a linemen who did not and cannot report after the first lineman reported. You casual ding dongs dont know how the game works.
@@ailyyang5982 "report" means he is an eligible receiver for the next play. this is common knowledge amongst the league and has been discussed repetitively. this was either a scripted outcome to make week 18 more interesting (eagles lost to cardinals as well to make the seeding very up in the air) or the ref just had money on the cowboys.
Dallas literally beat them on both sides of the ball all game. A couple stupid mistakes kept lions in that game. Jared goff had like 180 and 1 td and 2 ints before the final drive.
You have a chance to win take it. Why leave it to chance.

What the NFL should do is step up & point out the Lions definitely committed a penalty on that 2 point try & no matter what the Referee called that penalty it was definitely a penalty by rule & the Lions should admit they were in an illegal formation & should have been penalized!!!!!!!! Come on Commish get some balls & step in & defend your referees who were actually right in calling a penalty. You should also tell the Lions owner she should admonish her head coach for designing illegal formations in the hope of cheating to win!!!!!!!

Lions fault on that call tho, they tried to confuse the cowboys and it backfired with the refs. Go watch Dan cambells post interview.
