In my opinion, this is one of the saddest songs in the sound track. One of the first songs you've heard in the game- but this time it's bursting with the experience and joy you've gained throughout your journey. And once a fandom member plays the game one last time before moving on, they'll be reminded of everything. Although it may become buried as the years pass, it'll always be there. Goodbye Undertale, and Goodnight.

Besides, I'm a fan of anthropomorphic animals after all, so I would most definitely think twice before committing any bad route of the game(pacifist and true pacifist are the only ones I do), with the exception of hurting Omega Flowey and Asgore(both in self defense), but sparing the both(even though Flowey pulls a complete U-turn, [SPOILERS], and initiates the Omega Flowey Boss Sequence).

This song brings me back to Christmas mornings when I was little. That feeling of warmth and love and magic. The soft snow falling, and the only light coming from the tree and fireplace. It's the one feeling that is unlike anything else and always gives me nostalgic sadness. I love this cover

Ah, last goodbyes... they're such a fickle thing, aren't they? I love how a simple, one phrase recitation of Once Upon a Time on piano, can be turned into a truly soulful goodbye to the game. The quiet chorus and hesitant tempo harken back to The Polar Express to me, a sense of true childlike joy and innocence. Only once that is allowed to pass, do the strings come in with full force playing their strongest for their farewell, and fading out to a final lick on the piano, a thank you, and good night.
