I rarely comment, and probably rarely ever click the 'like' button, but that intro made me smile. So yeah, I'm commenting and liking this vid. Awesome work.
I dig the idea of a 7 day build, overhauling style. It helps a lot you have many spare parts and an amazing shop. You can exercise your project management abilities.
Seeing you getting over problems and difficulties, and making old bikes come alive, is why i keep coming back to your channel. Looking forward to seeing this bike on the road.
That engine sounds really nice! In fact, I wouldn't mind having one of those 500/550's in my garage. Finished of course! I owned a Honda when in high school but traded it away to a sheet rock guy when I was building my house some ten or so years later. Traded the Honda for some sheet rock work. Seemed like a good idea at the time since the Honda needed a little TLC. I've regretted it ever since...
I like what you are doing with the channel. The build series that you post are my favorite to watch. Good luck on old Rusty. I'll be tuning in for sure. Btw. The opening was pretty funny.
Try a 50 50 solution of ‘Winter Green’ and rubbing alcohol and soak the carb boots for 24-48 hours and they come out really soft and pliable. Save you a few quid anyways! Cheers
Stoked to watch this day by day! It would be great if you can add financials, like when you bought the project bike how much was it, how much do you think you can sell it for, then chart the parts costs as you go to get a final number on cost, and a final number of hours into the build.
Love your channel man. I’m not even a huge fan of the classic bikes, but your knowledge and builds makes it very informative and entertaining to watch. Look forward to the content to come this year!
That engine started soooo easily man, and she sounds really tight and healthy. Looking forward for this build. Old hondas never die, they just get better and better. Sweet video Taylor. Ps......loved the intro with you’re not so twin bro lol
Nice intro. I tagged you to a powder coating companys post on Instagram they're located in Temple, Texas. You should get the frame powder coated there. Also the rims would be cool to see them black hub and rim and polished spokes
Love the videos! I really like watching your thought-process during troubleshooting and fabrication. I found your channel while searching for info on my 73 Honda CL175. I'm having trouble getting it started, and when you mentioned the coils going to the wrong cylinders, the symptoms you described sound like the issue I'm having. Once it warms up a little I'm gonna swap them and hope for the best. Gonna try some tricks from your "will it run" videos. Thanks!
18 bikes!?! and i thought i had a lot of them with 6. hammer time didn't bother me. if it's junk, whatever you have to do to get the job done is fair play. if you get this done in 7 days, i'll feel bad. i have a yamaha i've been working on here and there for a couple of years. something more important always seems to come up, and by the time i get back to it, i forgot where i was. then i have to spend a week looking for parts i moved to make room for whatever it was, and figuring out what's next. i have 4 bikes in various states of disassembly in my 2 car garage. and i work on carpentry projects in it as well. one bay is set up as a woodworking shop, the other as a mechanical garage, while my vehicles sit outside in the weather. man, i gotta get more organized, i'm tellin ya.
Yo Mr. taylor, what a great & clear image! But u need to get a wireless blue tooth mic cuz its really hard to understand u when an engine is running beautiful like this one. Great job & I am proud of ur quality labor of ur hands. Tip: Don't pay attention to the haters & jealous. It isn't even worth to talk about them on ur video. Use ur precious time to focus on the good things ahead of u...keep ur cool. I am ur fan for sure. I wish I had seen ur videos sooner. thanks for the inspiration & keep the blessings from above over ur life & family...
super excited for this build, i have a CB550 engine on my kitchen table. Question: i have a older, like 74, top case and a 76 bottom case that i have to mate. im going to do a dry fit to make sure there's no sharp edges, has anyone else does this or have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Gotta love old Honda's. They just wanna run. I can't wait to watch the build in progress. Will you keep the stock coils on the bike? They seem to be working fine.
great video , love watching them , i to have done many similar projects , but my eye,s still hurt from the hammer episode , please dont ever do that again .
Hey Taylor. Love the videos. Your channel got me into attempting my first build. Got a question. Working on a kick start only 76 kz 400. Any suggestion to get the bike to run? Got new points installed but haven’t hooked it up to coil.
I have shop arguments like the intro all the time....except I'm alone. Yep, all alone..... but hey, at least I win.... well, like half the time I win....according to my version.....
Where do you- I get a 4.60-16rear tire of my choice meaning a 50/50 tire etc. my 79 cm 400 only fits a 4.60 or MR or 120 width !! No larger than 120 width rear tire will fit my bike without any modifications. All the.forams say so and etc
tractors..cars..trucks..any old machines deserve a new life...they are so much better than the cheap stuff of today...
Who the hell dislikes these videos?? How sad is your life?? Support this man and his awesome work!
That intro was hilarious and on point. Almost threw me off for a moment
I rarely comment, and probably rarely ever click the 'like' button, but that intro made me smile. So yeah, I'm commenting and liking this vid. Awesome work.

Good luck. Looking forward to the rest of the build.
You have to have enough parts to do a ratty cafe or brat build. That tank looks rad as is!
You could get an in-line spark plug tester for a few bucks. It's a light that plugs onto the spark plug and you plug the wire into the other end.
That bike sounded great. The carbs look like new.Love it.
Looking forward to this series. I'm betting this will be a successful format. I'm sure you'll have no problem knocking this out.

I see you have a picture of the superstrada over your computer. That was the inspiration for my build with a dry sump 71K1. Love your videos.
Love the intro and nice sounding bike good job
Good on ya mate - as we say in New Zealand. Glad the bike ran so well. Looking forward to watching the build.

What do Classic Octane and Mustie1 have in common? They both love sparks and hate starter buttons!
When are you gonna do a CB450?? I've got both. 450 and 550... and a 750.
Would really like to see what you would do to a 450. Please!!
