I went to my local fair and someone had won a goldfish and brought it up on a ride with him and then threw the poor thing off the top of the ride so the bag exploded on the ground. God bless this teenager who scooped the somehow still alive thing into their water bottle.
TraditionalAviator same one of my friends won me a goldfish at a fair because he knew I had the resources to take good care of it and that goldfish grew to be huge he sadly got dropsy and I did everything I could to save him but sadly he didn’t make it
@@paigek9923 I'm sorry your goldfish got dropsy :c I didn't know how to take care of goldfish at first and didn't know they produced so much ammonia. I thought a tank with a filter and declorinated water would be enough, by the time I figured it out it was too late, even though I was desperately putting in ammonia clear tablets, bacteria starter, and pH balance- but the damage was done. I started over again with new fish, and I messed up AGAIN- cleaning out my fish tank completely, most of the fish died from New Tank Syndrome, the only ones that made it were my two cherry barbs: Cherry & Bomb (got them at walmart, they have no aggression save for picking on any new comers for a few minutes before losing interest. Otherwise these two would never be paired with the fish I have now.) And my blue flame gromme, The Godfather. But now I know what to do, water changes are just fine to clean the tank, and using the special scrubber to get rid of the lime and grime that show up. I'm just sad it took me some gorgeous goldfish and mollies to learn this lesson.
TraditionalAviator sadly it’s a part of learning and you learned from your mistakes and we all make mistakes but sadly some people don’t learn from their fish keeping mistakes saying oh they don’t live long and stuff like that but I’m glad you learned and your fishies are happy and healthy

I sell crystals, so I was surprised you mentioned a fluorite substrate. I understand fluorite is somewhat water soluble and can leech toxic chemicals into water. (Hence it's not safe to put into drinking water) Is that not a concern for the fish?

That one with the fish in the magnet aquarium, I you read the comments on the vid it says it’s not there permanent home it was just for a short clip
7:45 reno rodeo baby!
When I was 5 years old I won a fish at one of those carnival games the fish ended up killing all my other fish because it was sick and it died a month later
My little son won 3 and he and his dad put them in my tank while I was at work. Same thing 😥
Yes they still put fish at carnivals once we won one and left at my grams pond (latest 100 gallons) and a couple other fishes from the pet store (also goldfish)
Aquatic Plant People Assemble: what is the plant at 8:38 in the centre frame? looks like the underside of the leaves are purple. It's stunning.
Hey, we are LOLLs haha. 😂 credit to my hubby @juliusdelmundo ! Great job !
Anyone else notice how that song at around 2:30 had the old Minecraft music in the back ground??
For the last tank how do you clean up the algae build up? Like 25% water change?
I sent in my fish tank a couple of weeks ago and it never showed up.
Matthew Goldman It takes awhile, mine took a month or two
deepseadream oh jeez ok thanks for the information!
Matthew Goldman yep, he has a lot of submissions and i’m sure these great videos take awhile
For some reason, I want to turn my old piano no one uses into a large aquarium by taking out all the weird piano stuff inside and actually making it fit to be an aquarium. My mom doesn’t approve. Oh well, I still have a large 15 gallon tank that I had for my lizard before he died.
I sell crystals, so I was surprised you mentioned a fluorite substrate. I understand fluorite is somewhat water soluble and can leech toxic chemicals into water. (Hence it's not safe to put into drinking water) Is that not a concern for the fish?
yeeeeeah, I won a goldfish at a canadian fair a few years back. safe to say they still do that here.
Loved the noodle/fish breathing example
Food or cuddle with hand?
Food?Hand?
Food?Hand?
Food?Hand?
Hand is food.
That pleco should've clamped it's fins at 4:28 that would've been great.
nice video, can’t wait till one of your videos blows up, it’s bound to happen, also would you review saltwater tanks if someone submitted one?
Is a ten gallon enough for 6 neon tetras and 1 betta
My DOJO LOACH is with me for about 7 months and he always want to play instead of eat, dojo loach has a lot of caracter and they are smart if you interact with them
Bettas are wicked intelligent too
Yeah we have those fish prizes here, but usually it's goldfish....which I suppose is still problematic in a way, but growing up my parents had a nice koi pond. So we put our goldfish prizes outside in the pond. Can't do that with a betta though...
They can still do that throw the ball into a fishbowl thing but with out the fish and use something else that isn't alive as a prize.
Local fair does that. 'Fishbowls' with colored water. Pingpong balls. Prize is goldfish crackers( the snack that smiles back) :D
My Oakville (Canada) school did a beta fish thing where u throw a ping pong ball into he fish container containing the fish, and u get the one u hit
Nice video mate I enjoyed it
Plecos can survive out of water for up to 30 hours apparently, they store air in their bellies like corys and can breath through their skin.
That doesn't make it alright for you to take it out for 'your' enjoyment!
Wow
Definitely not something to try but crazy statistic
goldfish are much smarter than you think, goldfish can learn to score SOCCER GOALS for treats, like sheeeeeesh
If Chris can describe gills with noodles, he is truly big brain

Yeah, I’ve never seen fish sold in carnivals or fairs before. I guess they don’t do it in Canada.
