    • @noelpipkin8980
      @noelpipkin8980 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not the voting system but the way in which candidates are chosen. Candidates are chosen by the relevant parties. And it is also not the system but the way people vote irrationally for either of the two major parties. What is needed is a new party but people do not have the insight to see this.

    • @TFx2TV
      @TFx2TV 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@noelpipkin8980 it is a pretty outdated system to be honest. Having a person such as a member of parliment with soo much power making sweeping descisions isn't rationale for a modern supposedly democratic society. A party system will only ever serve to keep the status quo as that was what is was created to achieve.

    • @TFx2TV
      @TFx2TV 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@noelpipkin8980 Well some form of proportional representation. The first thing the country would need is some core foundation from which to build that system from, basic rights and agreed ways of treating each other, shared values.
      We are living in the connected age, as a society we should be taking advantage of that rather than letting other people use it to take advantage over us.
      We vote in someone/a group hoping they are going to make a change for the better but its all just about keeping there jobs and making money for their mates. In the 17th century it might have made sense to let a small group of people decide everything but its not really needed now or even a good idea.
      We could have a system where every member of the public of voting age with a smart linked device could vote on parliamentary issues as they come up on mass. Self organising systems.
      You'd still have councils and the basic foundation of the system it would just be a far less centralised system freeing up public resources to be spent on what they are actually intended for instead of lining the pockets of the rich.
