I recommend turn upside down the bottle and do sprey for a few times till dye doesn't coming out to clear your nozzle and pipe inside it after you finished the job. You can use the same method for all aersol type dyes. Also product makers should put a little ball inside the bottle so it may help to prevent drying the dye when not used. So when you shake the bottle, the ball inside can mix the dye.
@Sarah Brookens ... Tulip Fabric Spray Paint dries flexible on fabric and won't crunch, crack or peel! It is permanent and machine washable once set on fabric. We recommend waiting 72 hours after applying to fabric before washing. We hope this helps!
I posted a question but thought you might see it here faster. Will this glow in the dark such as outside. Or only in black light settings. thankscrafty mom :)
Hi there ... we're so sorry we missed your question when you posted a month ago! Yikes! The glow paint activates with UV and black light and should maintain the glow properties outdoors for at least a while. Black light definitely works best but the paint will still glow outside or in a dark room after being charged with light. Again, sorry on being so late getting back to you!
I wonder if this dye can be soaked by cotton fabrics or just dry on surface. Does dye feels different on cloth? I mean are there differences between dyed or not dyed parts when you touch it?
1. What's the difference between the Tulip spray paint and the Tulip dye? 2. I was hoping you'd show how to do the cool pattern on the shirt in the video.
Thanks. I've been wanting some batik or resist sort of fabric for applique on my embroidery machine. To purchase it is expensive but this way I can dye the fabric as I need it. Brilliant! If I use lace to make a design can I rinse it out before it dries, the lace that is, so I can use it again with another colour or doesn't it matter?
HI Maggie, once wet paint comes in contact with fabric or carpet, it is very, very difficult to remove. These paints are formulated to be permanent. If the paint is still wet, wash it off with soap and water. If the paint has dried the garment can be dry-cleaned; sometimes the solvents used in dry-cleaning can remove the paint stains.
@@TulipColorCrafts Thanks. Then it would be OK to use the lace again if the paint used is permanent, or would it dissolve the previous color? Lace fabric is expensive here in UK and it would need to be re-useable. I will try washing it straight away whilst still wet. Thanks again.
will this glow in the dark without the black light. just going outside, etc? thank you in advance and this is a great video. easy to understand and your voice is very clear.
Hi there! Thank you for the feedback! We are so glad you like our video! =) You will need to activate the paint with UV or black like in order to get it to glow ... You can also hold it under a lightbulb to charge the paint ... Black light really helps intensify the charge versus using UV and incandescent bulbs. We hope this helps!

Hi Amy ... As long as the shirt is 100% cotton it will dye nicely. And it shouldn't stain the graphic on your shirt ... generally those repel the dye, especially if they are made from paint or a synthetic fiber like polyester. We hope this helps ... let us know if you have any more questions!
i want to use the glitter spray over an army green jansport backpack. i dont want it to be coated in glitter, im looking for a light amount of glitter overall. will it be less concentrated if i hold the bottle far away, also does anyone have any good ideas for what glitter color would go well with the army green?
Hi Julia ... This fabric spray paint actually does not create super concentrated glitter effects. You can try spraying one light coat at a time over the backpack and letting dry in between coats to see if you need to spray on any additional coats. For army green, we think gold or silver glitter would look great! =)
Hi there! The paint will dry soft and flexible, but will leave a bit of texture since it's a paint and not a dye. It will dry on the surface of the fabric rather than seep into the fibers like dye. We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
Hi Elisabeth ... If you want super even coverage, we recommend using Tulip Soft Fabric Paint instead, and brushing or sponging the color on. Tulip Soft Fabric Paint can also be watered down to create cool watercolor effects on your shoes! As you can see in the video, Tulip Fabric Spray Paint applies in more of a mist and splatter style ... You can definitely create cool effects with it on your shoes, but we recommend using Soft Fabric Paint for more opaque, even coverage. Here is a link to the Soft Fabric Paint page for more info: www.ilovetocreate.com/tulip-soft-fabric-paint
Hi Stephanie! Your best bet for getting super opaque coverage on a red shirt is using Tulip Soft Fabric Paint in Glacier White. Here is a link to the paint: www.ilovetocreate.com/glacier-white-2 ... I do not recommend the tulip brand aerosol spray fabric paint. It just blasted a ton of paint out very heavily and immediately ran out of aerosol. The whole can of unused paint is still in there, wasting the $7.99 it cost, while my “project” has one thick, goopy paint blast.

We will check in with our lab though and let you know if it's not recommended using afterward as well!
Hi Nick ... all that needs to be done is allowing the paint to air dry. Once completely dry it becomes permanent on fabric. You can help speed up the drying process by using a blowdryer.
