I would like to see a video on school related verbs: to take a test, to pass a test, to fail a test, to study for a test, to get a good grade on a test, to get a bad grade on a test, to retake a test, to do homework, to turn in homework, to major in math, to apply to college, to get accepted into a college, to do a PowerPoint presentation, to graduate from high school, to teach, to learn. etc.

There are Spanish subtitles on all our videos, and English and Spanish on all the seasons of Buena Gente. We made a video in basic Spanish to show how to turn the subtitles on: th-cam.com/video/n-594Ztjk4w/w-d-xo.html Click on cc to activate the subtitles and then click on settings (the gear icon at the bottom right) and choose the language. You can also open a transcript if that would be helpful. To open the transcript, go to the row below the title and click on the three horizontal dots ... (next to "save", at the far right). There is an option there to open the transcript and it opens on the upper right sidebar. Let us know if you any questions!

It's a great question. There is no "v" sound in Spanish - that is true. However, there is some regional and personal variation of the letter v depending on where it falls in a word and a sentence. The sound is a fricative (air is partially blocked, so that air moving through the mouth generates audible friction), and there is no doubt that when Pamela is speaking slowly, it sounds like an English "v" at times. So, native speakers will vary in their pronunciation, but as a Spanish learner, try to avoid a strong "v" sound.
