    Good job. I currently run the same style setup but I use 1 inch foam insulation board between the plywood and gray fleece fabric. This allows me to use a straight pin to hold up anything that may slide down. I have mine at a 45 degree angle. I have it mounted to the wall at the top with hinges and legs that come out up against the wall, I can fold the legs up so I can flat lay it up against the wall. I work in a smaller room so making the most of the space is important.
    Keep up the great vids.

    I have a suggestion that is even easier and lighter weight
    Try using a large plain painters canvas or buy a cheap commercially produced picture on canvas and spray paint it white or cover it with a light weight fabric. Even a thrifted sheet would work for an infinity edge.
    You have option of putting it on a table or adding legs to make it freestanding.
    That is my plan. You can even make your own painting frame.
    I will let you know how mine turns out

    Our setup is amazing, it’s a fully adjustable drafting table drilled plywood into it and attached foam board and wrapped in gray sherpa. We LOVE it. Can fully adjust the angle and height for whoever is taking photos to be comfortable. Did a lot of research before settling on it and couldn’t be happier.

    We found an old drafting desk by the side of the road with a "free" sign on it. We put grey upholstery type fabric on it and it works great for a clothing board. It even has the adjustment on it to make it more vertical or more horizontal to fit what I need. We put wheels at the bottom so it could be moved if needed.

    This setup is similar to ours and was a game changer. Nice video, good change. Ours is a dry erase board that is adjustable and can tilt to make the angle the way you want it then it tightens into place. The place that holds the dry erase markers on the bottom of board keeps items from sliding off. Then we have the sherpa blanket thrown over that is a bit more sticky than yours in this video

    Good deal. I have my background on two plastic heavy duty saw horses sitting inside the notches and leaning against the wall. And I have two 20 pound weights on the shelf under the saw horse. I think I'm doing to angle mine down a bit more like yours and trash the hangers, too. Man oh man...great idea. Thanks for this. But I wonder how 100% polyester will do on the ankle? Let us know.

      Yes the lightweight stuff does take a second to set in position. I may be buying a type of grey Sherpa to combat this.

    From experience , you will be able to post much faster. The only issues are the more flowy clothing or light polyester, mostly womens clothing because they tend to roll on themselves and leather jeans and jackets will slide down if its too steep. I usually am about 30/hr but I have not timed my new setup. Randi is at about 20-25/hr

    • @Laurencausey
      @Laurencausey ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a big photo box and a hanger (wreath hook) and I do about 25/hr. But for me its all about prep. I have a set of plain black hangers (think Kohls style) and I have everything already hanging on a rack. It goes directly there after I unload from the thrift store to stay organized. But since its already hanging, I can grab, photo, and then take it off quickly to do measurement photos on my table and bag.Then just put the empty hanger back on the rack as I go to grab the next one. My biggest issue is pants, because I flat lay them, I do my cover photos and details in the light box on the floor and then take it out and lay it on a plain carpet for the full shots. Back KILLER. I am thinking I need something like this specifically for pants.

    • @TaylorExchange
      @TaylorExchange  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Laurencausey Interesting. Seems like a smooth process. I do like the idea of doing everything in one place and not having a hanger. I don’t think we’ve doing jeans on here but image it’s going to be pretty straightforward. Worse case is folding the legs to capture the entire item.

    I did this method for a couple weeks, it kills my back. Some out there elevate it even more so you’re thighs can fit under but I found that after ten items my back was in shambles. For reference I’m 5 foot 8, young and fairly athletic so this could be pretty taxing for a lot of folks.
