We didn’t perfect the gas engine over night. I am 70 and they have had a good run. There is plenty of room for clean renewables energy and electric cars and many other electric tools people love battery powered tools ,and they aren’t going back to a cord because the technology is getting so great . We are in the early stages of batteries .

Agreed, these are working batteries, they will find a way to use cheaper chemicals and make them much better over a very short period of time now they have them working.

I agree, but we need to do the same thing the gasoline vehicle did to build the infrastructure.
It all came about because of demand. That demand was created by the Model T. When it was introduced, the combined paved roads in the US was less than the range of a Model T on a single tank of gas.
At the peak of production, the T cost the equivalent of about $7000 in today's money. The demand of millions of Ts hitting the road had the country building infrastructure to capitalize on the profits they could make serving that demand.
A new electric vehicle that fills that same niche would create so much demand, everyone would be building charging stations and other infrastructure for EV drivers to capitalize on their popularity.
If you want to change the world, make it cheaper than staying the same.

@@ihcterra4625 I think we as Americans will be less vulnerable to blocking of our trade routes and we will make large strides towards renewables energy being way more diversified and cleaner. Our grid will get a huge shot in the arm that it really needs. The Saudi Arabia oil cartels will be brought in to line like Russians are when they want to play hard ball with prices we will have options. Back in the nineteen fifties big oil rushed to take anything electric out everywhere in America,at that time the technology was not that good.but now being more and more diversified is a great thing. It is a lot like farming.

HPB will have to layout a lot more information to make their claim believable.
    They claim production this year.
    What the information deficit is:
No chemistry of the product given
    No information on testing
    No number of cycles
    No Watts per kg
    No charging time
No information on pouch to pack assembly
    No volumetric power
No voltage and ampage per pack.
    No details on available formats.
    Is it real?

SORRY I HAVE A VERY PESSIMISTIC VIEW...
40 plus years ago i worked as a welder/fabricator in a cryogenics shop at a nuclear fusion facility. All of the PHD's were always saying in 5 to 10 years we'll have free electric power.
      Recycling:
      Lead acid batteries are recycled.
Li-on are rarely recycled. I talked to my local recycling center about recycling a Li-on battery out of an automobile and I was told they would politely tell me to "get that f-_-ing thing out of here"
plastic recycling is a bad joke... we send our plastic waste to 3rd world countries because our laws won't allow the processes in our country.
Plastics that have #1 (PETE) or #2 (HDPE) are the most commonly recycled plastics. Plastics #3 , #4, #5, #6 and #7 are generally tougher to recycle and are not.

From lab to commercialization of SSB in mass production will take 7 - 10 years based on 3 companies(Toyota, QuantumScape, Solid power) history. So far only these companies have announced definitive commercialization schedules, 2025 - 2027.

Charge cycle is not important for EV car application. Typical car owner drives 20,000 km per year. 10 years old car run 200,000 km distance. Assuming typical 500 km range per full charge, it means 40 full charge per year and 400 charge cycles for 10 years. Most EV car battery retain 80% of charge capacity after 800-1,000 charge cycles. So endurance of EV car battery is more than enough for 20-25 years of active daily car usage.

Then they will build factories and start manufacturing in large numbers making them even cheaper.

still does resolve the real problems of batteries , especially in electricity production , which is major problem in Germany . There is no talk about how much resources these batteries consume and their real lifespan . Electric vehicles require massive quantities of electronics and software . Putting all vehicles energy source into all electric is not just dangerous , but stupid , and is driven by greedy investors and very stupid short sighted management

Toyota said they were "nearing production in 2011" for their prius line. 12 years of nothing from a company worth 250 billion.
I'm not even sure why this is needed for cars. Tesla's battery packs typically last 300k to 400k miles, and thats not including LFP which Tesla is aiming for 1 million miles.
You could make the argument for plains but the power density becomes a problem too with planes. (power and energy are not the same)

As I see in exploded battery's view there's a aluminum and copper foil plate. Aluminum and copper has short life as a solid state. It ocsidise in a few years. As my steering wheel controls box made of 👉aluminum👈 that's on bottom of my B250 Mercedes Benz that had to be replaced in a 6 years. Yet isn't thin plate it's thick cast housing. Aluminum isn't good material to be used in solid state battery yet too thin. I'm telling that as an Engineer from my experience of 45 years workig as one. If solid state battery use any aluminum or copper foil parts it isn't going to last long definitely and your solid state battery🔋will be bad choice because of aluminum and copper foil parts in it. Listen to man with experience. Hopefully you'll. Dont use cheap materials when using long lasting solid state battery. If you do youll be losers and anyone that buy cars with those battery with it it aluminum and copper foil parts.👍
