The last time I stayed the night at a hotel it was at a casino. The refrigerator was stocked. We got all the sodas, juice and water for free. The bathroom was huge. Be grateful for having the money to be able to spend the night there. 💜💜

You don't have to complain all the time just know what you expect to get Also make sure when you research your hotel make sure you request specifically what is advertised. Depends on how you register. On line in person or through a booking agency. Your second room is a family suite Do you have two separate bedrooms. You were correct to request a better room. Once you enter your room.look around before you stay. In better hotels.you can ask to see your room first. Also personnel can make a different. Rudeness doesn't help but don't be a push over. Also time of year.season makes a difference as well as how far in advance you reserve I have stayed in every type of hotel and sometimes the actual city or state or country makes a difference; who you are.
I have worked for hotels for years. It is not Trump who messed up, it is the managers. And really it is usually the front desk people. They are not paid very much to choose rooms. When a reservation comes in, they match the reservations with the name. They can make mistakes with room types if they are new at their jobs. The fact that they fixed it means they do take their job seriously. Also, many people who pay that kind of money for a hotel room in New York expect to get average rooms. New York is very expensive, so most people would not have complained. The amities and location are what add value to a room. So it is all in what someone will accept for their money. This is a normal hotel business.

I stayed with my wife at the Las Vegas Trump hotel and it was exceptional. The price back then probably 4 years ago was a little over $200 for the night. We had a great view of The Weeknd fireworks it was the 4th of July weekend. We got to go out into the balcony and watch the fireworks which was cool it was nowhere near $1400? Just remember you're staying at the Trump hotel in the People's Republic of New York where taxes are insane like they are here in California

I sent my daughter and son in law for three nights to luxury villa resort on ocean and their villa was a full one bedroom suite, fresh cut roses with a nice bottle fine wine and charcuterie board with cheeses, snacks. Full size fridge, washer drier, bicycles available, catered beach fire for 15 people smores and drinks. Trump must work on royal treatment for all whom enter. I would not book a trump stay based on this video. My resort included a round of golf. Spa avalable etc. Outdoor games, barbeque. This was an elegant stay. Kayacking as well among many other amenities . Top notch 🎉

When I was in that Hotel, I got a bunch of business cards with my name ready on the desk. And familiarities with the guests are forbidden to the personnel. They would never dare to call me "bro". Never!

Trump’s hotel in Vegas is beautiful, very spacious with kitchen including and great service. I stayed there a couple time with my family and never disappointed me, maybe the price is showing you New York reality and in general with this inflation.

No ritzy hotel would give free breakfast. Hotels are there to make money, not to undercut. Most hotels who offer free breakfast don't have the best service. (Some do) because they save costs by not hiring as many people as they need to run it and the staff who extra hard.
That room on 10th floor is supposed to be the personnel assigned you in the preference of your choice. It’s the desk personnels fault. When you complain and dig into your choice preferrence, your room you pay was supposed to be the elegance room. Glad that you get it corrected.

My husband and I stayed at the Trump hotel in Vegas, and it was a wonderful weekend. We don’t gamble so we did lots of people watching and had a couple meals in the testy. It was nowhere near as expensive as NY where you are. The second room looks like where we stayed in Vegas! Glad your call to the front desk worked out. 😊

You were correct to request a better room.
Once you enter your room.look around before you stay.
In better hotels.you can ask to see your room first.
Also personnel can make a different.

I have stayed in every type of hotel and sometimes the actual city or state or country makes a difference; who you are.
I have worked for hotels for years. It is not Trump who messed up, it is the managers.
And really it is usually the front desk people. They are not paid very much to choose rooms.
When a reservation comes in, they match the reservations with the name. They can make mistakes with room types if they are new at their jobs.
The fact that they fixed it means they do take their job seriously.
Also, many people who pay that kind of money for a hotel room in New York expect to get average rooms. New York is very expensive, so most people would not have complained.
The amities and location are what add value to a room.
So it is all in what someone will accept for their money.
This is a normal hotel business.

I stayed with my wife at the Las Vegas Trump hotel and it was exceptional. The price back then probably 4 years ago was a little over $200 for the night. We had a great view of The Weeknd fireworks it was the 4th of July weekend. We got to go out into the balcony and watch the fireworks which was cool it was nowhere near $1400? Just remember you're staying at the Trump hotel in the People's Republic of New York where taxes are insane like they are here in California

I sent my daughter and son in law for three nights to luxury villa resort on ocean and their villa was a full one bedroom suite, fresh cut roses with a nice bottle fine wine and charcuterie board with cheeses, snacks. Full size fridge, washer drier, bicycles available, catered beach fire for 15 people smores and drinks. Trump must work on royal treatment for all whom enter. I would not book a trump stay based on this video. My resort included a round of golf. Spa avalable etc. Outdoor games, barbeque. This was an elegant stay. Kayacking as well among many other amenities . Top notch 🎉

When I was in that Hotel, I got a bunch of business cards with my name ready on the desk. And familiarities with the guests are forbidden to the personnel. They would never dare to call me "bro". Never!

What did you expect it’s Trump hotel I would not complain I would enjoy every moment and I’d eat what I felt without looking at prices. It costs a lot more for a cruise ship vacation and I’d rather spend it at Trump tower for even 3 nights worth. I think it is beautiful and would feel like a queen just being able to be in this place.

Trump’s hotel in Vegas is beautiful, very spacious with kitchen including and great service. I stayed there a couple time with my family and never disappointed me, maybe the price is showing you New York reality and in general with this inflation.
I would give my left leg an be honored too stay there I can't even barley afford food for my family....U need too be greatful instead of complaining...

People are saying he complained allot but, he was super enthusiastic about staying there and you can tell he was happy. The truth is there was a few hundred bucks extra for the trump name since other hotels are nicer for that price. But ide still go just for the fun of it!

Chris, your hotels in Cairo, Egypt and in Bangladesh were so much better. $1400 for that room? It could be a room at any hotel along I-35 Hwy. And no free breakfast. That is a one and done.
No ritzy hotel would give free breakfast. Hotels are there to make money, not to undercut. Most hotels who offer free breakfast don't have the best service. (Some do) because they save costs by not hiring as many people as they need to run it and the staff who extra hard.
That room on 10th floor is supposed to be the personnel assigned you in the preference of your choice. It’s the desk personnels fault. When you complain and dig into your choice preferrence, your room you pay was supposed to be the elegance room. Glad that you get it corrected.

You're paying for the name , place (the heart of NYC) and the prestige, so don't complain too much. The price is right.
My husband and I stayed at the Trump hotel in Vegas, and it was a wonderful weekend. We don’t gamble so we did lots of people watching and had a couple meals in the testy. It was nowhere near as expensive as NY where you are.
