Spent a good deal of time in Elizabeth Furnace over many many years. From climbing to biking to RC crawling to swimming. Has it all. Lucky to live so close
Super cool vid!! I live in DC and the area most of my life and was curious about what adventures/neat places were around here that I didn’t know about. Thanks for sharing it and God bless!!
No offense, but this channel is awesome! I just discovered it as YT ad and I am seriously hooked! Looking forward to adding these great ideas to my solo & family adventures!
Dude, thanks man myself And a few others have been trying to figure out where that place was. We went to it a Couple times after staying in a cabin near there for a weekend. We stumbled across it by accident walking along the water route. A couple years later, we wanted to go back, but we we couldn’t remember where it was at.
Hey I’m headed over there now is there a specific coordinate? I have the GPS Set up the the Elizabeth Furnace Rec Area but I’m not sure where to stop and park up. I know u say at the 2nd turn off but do u just pull over to the side?- thank u! I love ur videos and u truly inspired me to get out and be more active and enjoy nature
Did you find it? On a hot day you'll see people there and that helps you find it. I get lost finding the rope swing every time (in this video it shows the wrong parking lot for the rope)
Luckily most people prefer watching others do fun things on TH-cam rather than going themselves. I found this on SwimmingHoles.org about 20 years ago, crazy how the internet has made all the secrets not so secret. I probably shouldn't have been so specific on it.
In this video, there’s only a tiny little edge, the rope swing get you the highest. If you’re looking for something more fun, look up panther falls in Virginia.
Thanks! Yeah there are a lot of fun things to do around that people don't know about including myself. So I'm trying to find all the places. So far I've found some cool spots.
Oh I thought this comment was on the other video. There are 2 "holes" in this video. The rope swing one is smaller, but is about 5.5 feet deep on regular days. The other hole is maybe 4-4.5 feet.
Just subbed & binged like 35 of your videos. Your quality & commentary is unmatched. Thank you!
Gracias! Yeah I did tons of these vids and nobody watched them for a few years til I did a few ads, glad you watched!
I'm binge watching right now as well

Thanks for watching, yeah I'm finding more new hidden spots all the time
Man! I love your content. You do an amazing job covering the hidden spots in our area.
Gracias!
Perfect weekend trip👌😎🤟
It’s an awesome day trip as well!
Nice!! Thank you..
You must go snorkeling in nearby New River. So convenient!
Just googled it, looks cool, may try it someday
I gotta check this spot out when it’s getting warmer. Thanks for the information!
One of the best things to do within an hour of DC!
No offense, but this channel is awesome! I just discovered it as YT ad and I am seriously hooked! Looking forward to adding these great ideas to my solo & family adventures!
Thanks for watching!
Why would they be offended
I grew up 15 mins from Strasburg and never knew that swimming hole even existed.
Nice! I’ve been going there for about 10 years now, it was always kind of a little secret
I am about 3 hours south of that area, se Virginia, have a great day
Nice, yeah hoping to eventually make it down past an hour from where I am. I think farthest I've done is Harrisonburg.

Its cool, Panther Falls is even cooler. Check that one out if you are in a cabin out that way where the drive is shorter than from Nova
Will do thanks

Well, there goes my lifetime swimming hole 🥴🙄
Need to check this out before it gets cold
The water temp was amazing last weekend. The water is about to get colder though.
@@DMVAdventures For sure. Shenandoah has some nice swimming holes
You know the Hispanics are at the great watering holes 😅😅
I live right there beautiful place wish it was still kept a secret lol

where are the places you can jump off of ledges?
In this video, there’s only a tiny little edge, the rope swing get you the highest. If you’re looking for something more fun, look up panther falls in Virginia.
Just found your channel and loving it ! I live right in DC and never knew this was close to home. Putting it in me and my wife’s bucket list 🔥🔥
Thanks! Yeah there are a lot of fun things to do around that people don't know about including myself. So I'm trying to find all the places. So far I've found some cool spots.
How deep is that swimming hole? Im sure you answered it but I dONt feel like digging through the comments.

@@DMVAdventures You're a good man Chris from Fire Toga
Too many Tiger Muskies, copperheads and cottonmouths.
DONT ADVERTISE THIS MAN! Before you know it, it will be shut down from all the trash and drowning’s!🙄
Don’t litter 🚮
Only I can prevent forest fires
Great now everyone can come and ruin a good spot by trashing it up
99% of people would rather watch someone else Do the rope swing then actually go out and drive there . so I think we’ll be fine.
lol, really?!?! It’s not just your secret swimming hole
It should be harder than going on you tube to find out about these kinds of places
I’m going to get TH-cam views and ruin nature lol
😂😂😂😂😂lol
