Keep these cycling videos coming it's refreshing to see other parts of Pattaya and Jomtien. The lake looks a great place to ride thanks for sharing your experience David.
Fantastic video DS.Thank you for showing me what else i could do in pattaya when i come to live there.Although i love watching vlogs on the bar areas, its a refreshing change to watch you cycling which gives good visual and good information about the areas on the outskirts of Pattaya. Please do more of these .
Great early morning ride, really enjoyable and lovely views. Good to see Edwin back out on the road too. I’m def on a mission to get bike fit when I get back, but those guys looks serious athletes lol.
Not long back from another one, again 60k...didn't film it this time as it seems only a few want to see outside of Soi Buakhao and Soi 6 🤣🤣... We'll get you back on the saddle after you've sobered up after the 25th 🤣🤣
Wow, the final illustration at the end shows how far y'all rode, must have been sopping wet at the end of that workout. I do my 5 mile circuit on an inexpensive steel framed mountain bike and I'm done. Enjoyable video as always David thanks. aka JG in TX
Lol JG....I was still pretty fresh, although the others were knackered. Even Nong did a 10k ride last night, she loved it and was smiling from ear to ear 🙏🙏
Great video David ! I love cycling, do a minimum of 90 minutes a day around London - the roads and traffic there look far superior ! If i manage to come and live in Thailand I will be out every morning keeping fit ... Next time bring us along for the cafe stop please
Me too John, the level of views is very low, buy I am persistent, I didnt film this weeks ride, but possibly next week if we are heading somewhere different.
If you look at my very early videos on this and the other channel... David Strachan Living in Pattaya, you will find more of the normal cycling videos, out of town. There are battery issues, so they tend to be chopped videos, also watching a 3 hour cycle video can be a bit... Boring. Hope you can find what you are after, they weren't very popular, so search by most viewed then look at the bottom of the list 🙏🙏
Those drainage grids at the crossroads look terrifying to me 😮 In regards to your ebike, how long does it take to charge? Is the charger and cable portable enough to take with you? Also thanks for sharing your ride with us.
You get used to where they are and approach at a slight angle. The bike takes about 6 hours to charge from empty Model Q5 Net Weight 30kg Frame Material Aluminum Alloy Max Speed 45km/h Motor Brushless DC motor-High speed gear(5:1) Motor type Lithium Battery Braking System Front/rear Disc Brake Charging Time 6h Seat Height Liftable Shock absorption mode Front shock absorber Battery removable function Push-in type with mechanical lock Mechanical shifting 9 speed mechanical transmission system(shimano) Assist mode Hall sensor , 3 speed power adjustment Riding mode Pedaling manually/Electric motor assistant/E-powered Lithium battery capacity 48V/13Ah/608.4Wh The power adapter 54.6V/2A Pure electric range 40-45km Power assist range 90-100km Climb angle 25° Max load 100kg Lights LED Protection level IPX4 The charger is about 6" x 2" x 1.5" with a plug for each end. I reckon at pace the bike would easily do 70km, if you were out for a more relaxing ride probably even higher 🙏🙏
It is way better than I expected. I wish it had hydraulic brakes, but at 31k I know that it's not feasible. When I finish my normal ride I can scoot up Thappraya hill at about 50kmph..which I find much safer than being squeezed by two vehicles trying to squeeze past 🙏🙏 One of the best investments I've made.
I am looking into it so will let you know through the channel if I get there. I need to visit the bike shop so he can look at the internal bike cables for connecting the motor disengage wiring 🙏🙏
Not very much, we get the odd barker...and occasionally they give chase, which isn't an issue if it's downhill or on the flat...uphill...we we just start shouting at them or spray them with the water bottles 🤣🤣
If the electric runs out on your e-bike is it more difficult to pedal then a normal bike. Do you feel like your trying to pedal a fat pig instead of a sleek bicycle
Luckily 3 x 60km rides and it's never ran out. When I film in town I don't use the motor, it's not a sleek racehorse for sure....but with the motor on...it's a beast. Night ride last night, Nong on the ebike, me on the MTB....got home, she was as fresh as ever...me...a wet puddle 🤣🤣
