I loved Ghostbusters as a kid. I remember my mom had a spray bottle filled with water labeled "dream spray" which was to get rid of bad dreams because Ghostbusters had me scared that demons were coming for me. I wish the world was half as interesting as it was when we were kids
It is, you just don't know it. You think demons aren't real and that they're not always coming for you? Think again. Many reside in our minds. This is the way of the world.
@@cowel8734 I didn't assume anything. Many Christians either don't know demons live in our minds, or simply won't accept it. You said you wished the world was half as interesting as it was when you were a kid, immediately following a sentiment that Ghostbusters had you scared that demons were coming to get you. Don't blame me for connecting your sentences, lol. God bless.
My 5 year old gets to play with those. They're not in great condition, but I kept a bunch of them, and now they're his... this was awesome to show him...
Idk I saw the original Ghostbusters action figures in a box set with four Ghostbusters pins once online, so I can confirm not all of them were not "each sold separately"
I didn’t grow up in the 90’s nor owned any of the toys, but I do remember binging a ton of commercials on youtube back in the day. So they still hold some nostalgic value to me, plus the goofy charm of kids playing with them for the commercial or the little puppets and costumes, I miss those days!
I was a resourceful kid... instead of buying the $8 container of "GHOSTBUSTERS" slime I just spent about .75 at the 25cent machine that had the same stuff & it was the right color
I don't remember the slime being $8 dollars a can, but I could be wrong. That just seems really expensive for the 1980s, considering that the figures were $5 each.
Si, tienes que buscarlos y ponerlos en un estante en exhibicion. Yo soy de Argentina, tengo un canal en castellano por si te interesa www.youtube.com/@Bloggercrash
How i miss the 80's and 90's . I had some of these toys . Kinda strange to see some toys that weren't in the two movies for example that plane ?!? We were very spoiled as kids in the 80's and 90's as many of these toys were cheap compared to today surely for one toy brand "Lego" it's kinda impossible to get something decent for a cheap price as set .( i remember back then with 150Euros you could buy 1 big set 2 medium sets & 3or4 smaller sets from Lego )
The toys were all based on the cartoon, nothing to do with the movies. 80s cartoons like this had new characters every week, and a toy to go with it. The episodes were basically commercials
Just got this in my recommends which is great nostalgic timing. I'm having a Ghostbusters themed birthday next month! I hope Hasbro re-issues the GB Firehouse some day. I need that play set for my collection. ❤🚫👻
I think this shows how strong the toyline was, because I dont remember any of these commercials, and they aren't very good compared to those from other lines like Ninja Turtles, He-Man, or even Silverhawks. I remember every single toy though, and these flew off the shelves, because the cartoon was amazing, and these toys were just pure fun.
Yeah, it was released in wave 1 in 1986. It was called the "Green Ghost" at that time because he didn't have the name Slimer yet. He came with a pizza, a piece of watermelon, and a steak. Hasbro just re-released it a couple of years ago in the Kenner Classics line.
Called "The Real" Ghostbusters because there was a completely different series that came out right after the movie called "Ghostbusters" that had nothing to do with any of the characters at all.

I remember this commercial when I was a kid
Cool! Thanks for commenting
As a kid I always thought that the ghost toys were always scarier than the ones in the show.
That is true. Unfortunately they never made the boogieman, I would have liked to see what it would have been like
"We ain't 'fraid o' no..." >roaaaarrrr!< "...GHOSTS!!!"
Thanks for commenting
Still have the old lady and the big guy in a red flannel.
Cool, thanks for commenting
They seem more like monsters and mutants than ghosts 😂
True. Thanks for commenting
What the? I have NEVER seen an ad for the color changing uniform action figures
Cool! Thanks for watching and commenting
I've never seen the commercial for those either. I just remember seeing them in stores, and I got Egon and Ray from that wave back when they came out.
Years later I still know the feel and smell of that ghostbusters slime
Cool memories. Thanks for commenting
