I burned out as I haven't learned all these clever tricks and rule-bending, which is a must. I really admire these nice entrances. Notice: no doors. Settlers get stuck around them. I learned that the hard way until I gave up on doors. The only thing that still puzzles me to this date is how to move objects up and down and left and right without moving my character. I am on PC and all I can figure out is using the mouse wheel, it moves objects closer and further away. I've tried every other button even ones that say "change axis" but no luck.
I'm not sure what button it is on keyboard, but if using an Xbox controller you can press and hold the left bumper and move the right thumbstick up or down.
Great build! The design and layout is flawless, I never could figure out what to build on these empty foundations. Thanks to you I have one spot filled now!
This is the best looking building I have ever seen in either PS4, XBOX and PC. Since it has no mods this can be built on the Fallout 4 GOTY PC but it may take a while. The effort will be amazing and also very satisfying. Now back to watching the video over and over again just to get the idea on what is needed and then restarting Fallout 4 all over again.
I'm in the same vote as you were. I just got around to restarting Fallout 4 over on PC. building without mods, to me, is very satisfying to come up with designs using the DLCs and CC content.
I'm glad that you made this and I wish I found your video a long time ago. The thing that bugs me is that I'm not very good at building and I'm not that creative either, this helps alot of people like me so thank you sir. I hope you consider posting more videos like this in the future.
Thank you! You are more than welcome and please feel free to use my build designs in your own game or use them to expand your own builds! I will be posting more videos and builds in Fallout 4 in the near future.
I don't want to spoil the new Let's Play series I have going on right now, but Settlement Building videos should be making their return to the channel in the next couple weeks! If you have any suggestions for upcoming build ideas, please let me know and I will see about making it happen!
6 years later i've build a very simmilar building at the same spot, what are the odds😂 Really like the doorframe Windows but i love the staircase to the top floor diner. Great job!
Thank you! Try placing a wall piece where you want the overhang to end, add the desired roof piece, then remove the wall and snap in more roof pieces. You can do this for each side if you're doing a wrap-around like I did, or you could try to snap in the corner roof pieces to continue it around. Hope that helps!
Thank you! My goal is to not use mods to keep from disabling achievements or trophies. I do use creation club, and for some it's borderline, but I still feel that if its published/uploaded by Bethesda, it's not a mod.
@DarkWater1123 the creation club is technically not a mod. It was suppose to be free with the rest of the workshop but Besthesds decided to charge money. They even got sued. But for some reason..they won. I guess being a big corporation eith money does that.
Great build! Most vids i see of settlements are really complex, but they are still built like a savage wastelander built them with no tools. Just junk everywhere. I really like your clean design, which seems to try to approximate a return to modern civilization. Question...where did you get the refrigerator? I think i have all the DLC's, and have never found a fridge to build.
Thank you! I really enjoy doing clean builds! It makes it look like people are actually trying to rebuild the world instead of just surviving. And you can get the fridge in the Creation Club, the "Home Decor" pack.
How many generators ? And how did you run the power through the whole building ? Finally finished the building just trying to recreate everything else without the creation club stuff as I dont have the money to buy that stuff atm.
I used 1 large generator. And as for the lighting I used power conduits on the roof for the 2nd floor, and used power conduits going around the building high up on the walls inside the stores. To connect each conduit I did have to use the wire glitch/exploit that allows you to connect them through walls.
I ran the power on the ceiling. The warehouse and barn walls create such a high ceiling that it makes the wires and pylons out of sight when ran as close to the top as possible. And I believe the door is to a bathroom lol
Does it works properly with npc patterns? For the bar section, your type of 'doors' you made with 2 triangles seems to work better for that though, that's a great idea, thanks 👌
I do. I can post it separately, if you'd like. I had to go into all of my old videos and remove the copyrighted songs I used back then, which is why it is just the finished tour now.
@DarkWater1123 oh gotcha. You don't have to worry about it man. I literally just finished doing your build. It took me hours and some part was confusing. Alot of pausing and back and forth but I copied it exactly how your build is. This is amazing bro.
I wanted to let you know that I'm working on a rebuild of this one, and a couple other builds I did previously that's more in depth on how I built it. The video should be coming out within the next couple weeks.
@DarkWater1123 Oh hells yea bro. Can't wait to see it. By the way, I made the exact replica of your built just by watching the short tour vid. Is amazing bro.
@ElluzhinYT I just posted a new video, rebuilding this fully and going over every part of the build process, except for the decoration. Here's the link for you to check out: th-cam.com/video/UZ-dGB3R7qo/w-d-xo.html
If you're using console or a controller on PC, select the item and hold L1 or LB, depending on if using an Xbox or PS4 controller, and use the right thumbstick up and down to change the height. If selecting a whole bottom floor, or whole structure, do the same, but when selecting the item (floor foundations or ladders work the best for this) hold the select button instead of pressing it. Note that anything attached or in close proximity will also be selected and move as well.
I primary used the barn peices from the Point Lookout dlc, and the greenhouse windows from the Contraptions dlc. The decorations are a combo of all dlcs and various Creation Club dlc items.
I had to trim it down due to a copyright song being in it. I can re-upload the original as an unlisted video and give you the link to it if you'd like. Otherwise, I'm planning on doing a rebuild video of this one, and a couple others that are on my channel in the next couple weeks

I understand why you may think that. and it was very much debated when Creation Club came out. The authors of the packs have gone on record and said that the Creation Club content are not mods, but paid micro-DLCs, made by artists and published by Bethesda. Whether they are cannon to the game universe, that is debatable, but who knows with recent add-ins by Bethesda with the Next-Gen update. If you want to call Creation Club content mods, then anything that mods the game from its original off-the-shelf version would be a mod, that includes DLCs, as they modify the core game. Long story short, you can believe that they count as mods, but for the sake of this video, and my previous building videos, I do not.
Sorry for the late reply. I never got a notification. Yes, if you remove any CC content from your storage after installation and saved your game with it installed, it'll corrupt your save to the point where you have no choice but to start over. Additionally, with the latest next-gen update, CC content comes pre-installed. Thus if you remove it from your game storage folder, you'd have to start a new game. There is also ways to do this by using a mod manager like Vortex, so you enable/disable them in order to not have them in your game save.
Creation Club is not mods. Creation Club is paid DLC for the game in the form of mirco-transactions. No MODS were used. (Yes, technically, any content that alter the game, including DLC, are modifying the base game, but they are released and published by the game creater, thus, not mods.)

Not quite. lol Unfortunately, without mods, building a Walmart would be just a bland and very large empty building :(
hmmm you think an Ikea could be made with the vault-tec workshop?
Might take some fenagling and trial and error, but might be possible.
