Our gaming group really loves Ethnos. The games are fast, very competitive, and there are many different strategies depending on the tribes selected. It’s an e evergreen for us. We just tried a new game you may be interested in called The Vale of Eternity. It’s a card, engine building game with some really cool limitations. You can only have four coins to spend (regardless of the denomination) and you can only keep as many cards in front of you as the round number. Sweet spot is three players. Everyone liked it.
I kind of miss you reviews on big euro board games like you used to do before. However I do understand that your tastes have changed and I can understand that. About the games that you’ve just mentioned, I love Ethnos ! Clearly one of my favorite games and I really need to try For Sale ! Because I really like the auctions mecanic as you 😉 Have you played Big Shot, Industria, Löwenherz and Strasbourg ?? Because they are all great auctions games that I tried lately out.
I hope Ethnos will be back in print one day, as I'd love to have it in my collection - I love such simple mechanisms. I don't consider Archeos Society as a suitable substitute, a bit like Coke v Pepsi, I suppose.

I've not played any of those. Strasbourg is very much a grail game for me at this point
