Instead of volunteering to help, I let him be. No nagging, no attempts to inject myself into his life, just went on with my life. I kept every exchange positive, and signaled my interest without offering to do anything. Sometimes it's tempting to call him, because I'm pretty sure I could 'make something happen'. But it really has to come from him. I want whoever I end up with to captain the ship so I have to ignore the urge to push ahead. The academy has been a tremendous help!!!

I would just like to add my 2pence worth about the “low investment” dates…the coffee date in particular. If I am meeting someone for the first time from a dating app then I prefer this type of date as a first date, reasons being I don’t want to actually waste my own time with more “getting ready” investment 😁 if it continues to be a second/third date and so on then yes I would expect a higher standard 😊 xx
