thank you! Yes I can, but I forgot the finer details. Bass is a Gibson Ripper copy from Japan. Both pickups on in series. I used my Line 6 HX Stomp XL which was connected to Ableton 10. I'm sure I used the SVT block from the Line 6. I'm not sure if I used an overdrive pedal or if I just had the gain on the SVT block high up. Either way the end result is the same :) Lou Barlow uses a lot of overdrive which sounds amazing when mixed by professionals, but I can't get the clarity he has. So I used a little overdrive compared to him. If you don't have an HX Stomp, there are a lot of SVT plugins you can get. And if you're not into digital gear you could check out Sansamp or the Tech 21 YYZ or the Origins Effects Bassrig Super Vintage. Or get a real SVT ofcourse :D
Hi! I don't have the tabs, but the song is pretty easy :) Basically it's G - D - A - C all the way through. The scream part is just E and then F ending on the C. The high parts are also just G - D - A - C played an octave higher in different positions. Live, Lou's changing constantly between the high part and the low part. In general he playes the high part at the end of a chorus, and during the verse he generally starts low and keeps going higher the further the verse goes along. I hope this helps :)
My dude! so sick...great tone and amzing bass...viva Dino jr! and lou barlow the chord playing masterbasser!
Thanks man! Lou is one of my favorite players. I actually bought the bass from another favorite player of mine, Joey Howard from Paramore.
@@amsknirbyou bought it personally from Howard?

Great cover of a Cure cover!
It's not a sitar lol, good cover
Sitar? Obviously not. It’s a bass guitar.
@@curly_wyn It could be a sitar with a little imagination, I guess...

what notes are you playing for the high parts?
the whole song is G - D - A - C, even the high parts. the only time it changes is during the screaming part which is E and F and ends on C
Tabs?
