Fun fact. In many parts of Australia, ice cream vans play an instrumental version Greensleeves as they ply their wares around the streets. I didn't learn it was actually a song from around C16 till I was an adult, previously thinking it was just the "Mr Whippy van" song.
She was the second wife of King Henry VIII and mother to the future Elizabeth I. The king fought the Church of England so he could divorce his first wife, Katherine of Aragon, to marry Anne after she continually turned down his advances and told him she would not be with him until they married. So he broke off from the church and created (if I remember this correctly) the Protestant faith and married Anne. She was crowned queen and Henry wanted a son but Anne was unable to give him one, so like the fat bastard he was, turned his attention elsewhere while Anne was charged with adultery, incest, and witchcraft three to four years after she was crowned. The king had her beheaded so he could move on to poor Jane Seymour and marry her. Elizabeth was only two when this happened, and I find it extremely ironic the heir he so desperately wanted ended up being her. Anne left a lasting mark on history long after her death, to rising as a queen to her forced downfall by the very man who tore everything apart to marry her. She lived on through Elizabeth who is remembered as one of England’s greatest monarchs.
Morgan Cutler I understand that but he still tossed her aside like garbage because she never birthed a son. As much as Henry loved Anne once, he still caused her death in the end.

Ann's death was used as a constant threat to other queens to not stand up for themselves) were the most successful. Both Mary and Elizabeth took their mothers fates less as a warning to not piss off henry, and more as an example of how to behave.

Anne Boleyn‘s story always captivated me. It’s a shame that fat bastard of a king ended her life too soon.
