I love your "What Sold" videos. Grabbing/Finding items in your cool basement setup. It's fun and I enjoy the purging process.
I liked that combo with the brown sweater.
Oh, I wanted to tell you that the bathing suit was the better choice when u went thrifting. It's a great color for summer in a classic bikini style. Also, funny thing, I walked into Target a couple of days after that video and there was a suit just like yours on a mannequin.... Right on trend! I think.

When I get a super low ball offer on EBay...I counter with $5 to $10 over the "original" asking price. And they go silent.
My daughter was Clara one year and I can't believe I didn't know AG had Nutcracker items. gah!
That idea of starting over your business is so courageous and I love how you embrace your inspirations! Could be a great "reboot"...I turned 51 last June and I find myself thinking about "changing things up" and renewing my goals. I guess we grow wiser and we are not afraid of new ways of doing things. If it makes you feel any better I sold the AG Grand Hotel for about the same price to a zero feedback buyer a few years ago. It was very expensive to ship and included free shipping so between that and the zero feedback I was worried but it all went smoothly! So cross your fingers and it will probably be ok 🙂

Here’s a story for your zero feedback buyer for that doll. I didn’t even know eBay existed in 2007 when I went searching for a designer handbag that I had to have. The only place that had it was on eBay so, I joined that day and purchased it right away so, don’t be afraid of zero feedback, because everybody has to start somewhere 🙂

When you mentioned 'Antoni & Alison', the names immediately hit a nerve! I felt like they studied at the same college as me in London, and after a Google search, it transpired to be correct! They've been in business for 25 years and they're a British design duo, who went to St Martin's School of Art. Thanks for bringing back fond memories of my college days.

Have a backpack listed that is 1 of 10 total made that we found at a family owned thrift store. No comps, shot it the dark, super open to offers from any collector that wants it, currently listed at 850. Got a $2 offer on ebay with the message "little short on cash right now" and that's the wildest offer we have ever gotten on anything.
Recently we've been taking any/all offers on inventory over two years old, $5 offer accepted on a shirt, they messaged and said "can I pay next week?" 🤣🤣 yeah, sure, friend.

Your eBay fees are calculated based on the total the customer paid including their shipping.
Such a good video! It’s normal to be a bit nervous about such a large sale until it’s delivered … I find it’s easier to not even “check out” the buyer - I don’t really learn much 😂. A new buyer probably found you on Google and created a new account to buy your item. Yay! Another customer for the future 😂.
The eBay transaction fee is calculated on item price + shipping. Sales tax not included.

EBAY you can make it where they cant send an offer under a certain $$$ amount your choosing or you can choose to not take offers at all
How would you sell or liquidate items? In a big lot? Or individual sales? Just curious, I’m trying to sell off my entire eBay listings.
I was just thinking the same thing about starting over! We started around the same time reselling so maybe we just need a change! I want to do something totally different than listing individual items every day. I've got ideas. But need to get rid of si much inventory And I'm so tired of how it's taken over my house. Really stresses me out since my space is limited without a basement or second floor like my previous home. Definitely going to make changes this year! Let's do this! 😀

I definitely get more full price sales on eBay, but I also have my Poshmark bot set to send 10% offers after 5 mins so full price sales there are rare.
I love the idea of starting over. I have a lot of meh items that I got when I first started reselling and they clog up my inventory. I don’t have access to Poshmark live, unfortunately. I feel like that would be a good way of getting rid of those items at least for some money. But would love to hear how you’re going to clear out, I think that would be very helpful.

Paying the extra fee on eBay doesn’t just put you at the top of the list it broadcasts you over different venues I believe
This might be comparing apples to oranges but i think Shein and Temu and other fast fashion sites isn’t helping. People can buy so much at dirt cheap prices instead of investing in a quality pieces, either new or secondhand.

Some goodwills in Orlando are charging 10-12 for Shein pieces 😅 I wish them luck, you'd think with the volume of it I'm sure they're receiving they'd price it lower (or at least at their retail) but over retail is wild for the quality.

Hi Lori, this is my first time watching you. I just saw your interview / chat on Becky Park & thought I'd jump over, because you seemed to be on my same wavelength for the most part :) I enjoyed your video & now I am a subscriber. I am 53, and I'm super motivated (I love to list!) and have been considering starting a channel soon for many reasons. I really agree with many of the other comments and not only is it at a certain age, but I think it takes a certain type of unafraid woman that just wants to grow within herself and within her business & is not afraid to take risks, but if it doesn't work for some reason, or goes slower than what we though, or if it skyrockets, it's just good to be yourself & to be transparent. Many of us support each other & I'm enjoying this journey with so many great "co-workers".

Question can I steam a wool blazer without Damaging it?
You can steam, yes. Put a damp cloth between the item and the iron and go very slowly. For a light fresh up you can steam vertically. Just don't overdo it or the wool could shrink.

I'm fairly new to reselling and you mention getting things ready for tax time. I know you're in a different state (I'm California) but can you give me an idea of what I will need. I contacted Poshmark however, the only answer I got from them is "if your eligible, you will receive a 1099 form"

I am always curious how resellers mark items up to give themselves a cushion. Don't you price according to comps? If that same brand/style has listings for $60 and you list yours for $75, are you not worried people will pass yours up? I am confused by this.
Good question! I definitely look at comps but there is always a range. I don't mind having my listings a little on the higher side b/c I run promotions and I'm more of a long tail seller.
