    The title should be: “make a tool to take fruit from your neighborhood trees” 😂

    Hi Ian- Great idea for a fruit picker! We don't have many fruit trees here anymore... I wish we did. Thanks!

    It was hard to leave you a feedback since I found the video on a web search and so I wasn't logged in to TH-cam and couldn't remember my password. I opened TH-cam and used your name essential handyman to find your feed but it only showed 6 video titles. Then I used the menu at the top of the page and click on videos. Bingo found them. This video was so brilliant. I am sure there is more treasure here and it was worth the digging. Thank you

    Nice one! My Grandad was into marquetry too, there's a couple of his pieces at my parent's house that I've bagsied for inheritance when the time comes... Oooh, no, hang on, that makes me sound callous and calculating... You know what I mean though... Cheers.

    • @essentialhandyman
      @essentialhandyman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds okay to me. When my grandparents died my parents asked if we wanted any of their heirlooms, jewellery etc. I said I just wanted the marquetry art. So I completely understand where you’re coming from.

    Thank you so much! I wanted to forage blackberries that are growing really high up near my house.... I'm going to use this method and see how I fare.

      I used a flimsy plastic bottle for proof of concept really. However, I'd advise using a strong plastic bottle, which doesn't deflect as much. Plus, if foraging fruit that can bruise, just stick a sponge or some padding in the bottom. Thanks Rob. Stuff like those knives are very hard to find over here, as places like eBay don’t allow the sale of knives online in the UK.
      Good to have you here as a new sub!!!

    I made up one out of a bottle a couple of years back & it works ok but you have to be very careful as the bottle is very delicate & must upgrade it to a piece of wavin this year but sofar the wavin i'm coming across is either too big or too small in diameter...i use the bottle, by the by, in the pull rather than push position

    • @essentialhandyman
      @essentialhandyman  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What's a wavin bottle? Never heard of that before.

      Mmmm, sounds lovely. I do love a mango. I guess you’re in a warmer climate than me in the UK. It’s bleak winter here and definitely no mangoes being grown anywhere.
