They will never stop because it's a replacement religion, and each new set of activists tries to outdo the last set in terms of proving their "faith" to their "God."
The point at which they will start killing in the name of their replacement deity is not very far away, now, and if all of the circumstantial evidence is in the indication, the (transgender) female who shot up the Tennessee Christian School is one of the first suicide bombers in their belief system.

As a former activist I can tell you that there are two main types. The first are people who genuinely want to help. These people, myself included, either wise up and distance themselves or get bullied out by the second kind. Said second kind are just there for how it makes them feel. Strong, justified, smug, powerful, doesn't matter. The absence of any responsibility is what drives most pf these people. In fact, they refuse to take any personal responsibility. The Old West called it a Clown Posse.

Due to how privileged and safe the west is, many of the left (especially the urban and young ones) are without struggle and purpose. So being radical and disruptive is the only way they fill this void. The problem with activism is that, once you get what you ask for, you have nothing left to distract you from your actual problems.
So, they move on to a new grift. A new "problem" to tackle. It's an endless cycle of banging your fist against society until society either takes pity on them, or their fist starts to bleed.

I've heard people argue that this is what's happening to the gay community. Gay rights were achieved, but the energy remained so the focus went onto trans rights, then trans children's rights, and they need to keep finding things to fight for, because the majority of gay people living in the western world are just living normally. So you frame "drag is not child friendly" as "drag queens are being banned, they're stripping gay rights away", and "children shouldn't be allowed to medically transition" gets framed as "trans rights are being taken away". They have to reframe and exaggerate the problems that are going on, because they can no longer direct it towards actual discrimination that gay people face - gay people can get married, are not discriminated in the workplace (they are in fact a protected demographic now), they can adopt, own houses, run for president etc etc. There's nothing big and meaningful left to fight for anymore, but that energy is still there so gets directed towards something else.

But instead of focusing my energy on improving myself and my circumstances I would focus my attention on “saving the world”. It was definitely a form of escapism so I wouldn’t have to face what was going on in my life. I remember going to those demonstrations hoping to get some meaning and purpose from them but I never did. In fact, when I was “protesting”, that’s when I felt the most empty and lost. I remember driving home from the protests wondering why I felt so anxious and empty whilst I was there. At 26 I’m so much happier. I got saved, got married, started eating meat again, no longer an environmentalist either. I’m sooooo much happier and healthier. Glad to be done with that stage of my life.

Compare this to a career activist, who has a purpose ONLY when there are problems. Their livelihood depends entirely on the continued existence of those problems. They exist to "combat" problems that can and should be eradicated, but not to actually run the systems that would survive the problem's resolution and ensure things function smoothly.

Its just unacceptable, there are so many other ways to protest that aren't likely to result in the deaths of innocent people. I suspect if people knew they could potentially end up in jail for a long time on manslaughter charges when someone who would have lived dies when stuck in an ambulace traffic jam or a building burns down with people trapped inside, many would think about more than their own self rightousness for their own self preservation even those that don't really care about others.

We have come so far to be destroying ourselves from within and i sincerely hope the people who think its okay to attack, scream at or belittle others with different opinions can get a wake up call one day, just like i have.

Some of the most totalitarian and outright EVIL regimes in history were all created by people just like the woke activists in modern times. The Brown Shirts all fought believing they would help bring back Germany to its former glory and the Reds in China and Russia fought because they believed they could create a more equal world for the workers to live and grow in.
All three of these countries turned into the most evil and heartless of empires whose effects we still feel today as China is still sadly around and Putin still clings to the Soviet Union of old while a new American Soviet State seeks to create itself and repeat the same mistakes the Reds of the past made.
It's a viscous cycle that will keep repeating itself as long as people with jealousy and hatred in their hearts remain.

A pastor told me once that forgiveness doesn't mean acceptance. If I kept blaming all the people that hurt me, then I was giving away my power to those people. I had brought 3 pages of the traumas I had written down to show him because I wanted him to know who I was. He refused to read them, which totally pissed me off. But when I realized that those pages were not "who I am," it changed everything. I was yelling to the world, "I'm not a victim," while blaming my issues on other people. People who got to live, rent free, in my head. People who controlled my life and didn't care or feel any pain from my hating them. It was ruining my life, and they didn't even know. I stopped giving my time to toxic people and truly learned to forgive. It was so freeing I can't even describe it.

There are a lot of ecological issues. Unfortunately, they’ve latched onto the one they don’t have to do anything about because they can’t do anything about it. Instead of the smart thing like taking some nets and fishing rubbish out of our rivers and picking up litter for example. These are subtle ways you can promote a cause, by simply being unobtrusively present in the world, you can attract attention, especially today.

What's most amusing is that she fails to recognize she's part of a different kind of religion.
Edit: For clarification, the individual I am referencing views atheism primarily as a rejection of organized religion, which she sees as repressive and a component of the patriarchy, and not necessarily as the rejection of the existence of a deity. Hence, the amusement from that person's adherence to radical ideology that is in itself highly oppressive.

I'm a former SJW turned back into the classical 00s liberal that I was before all of this started. I can't speak for everyone, but the reason why I was a part of it (I was a very mild sjw, surprisingly) was mostly reliant on various reasons. First, I naively believed that local residents had a better perception of their location than I did (which is kinda true, but I didn't recognized that they can be biased as well). Second, I was in my mid-to-late teens at the time, so like most teens, I viewed everything in black and white. If you told me back then that there were conservatives who weren't homophobic or racist, same as being left leaning didn't mean you had progressive beliefs, I'd have laughed at you. Third, they sometimes have good PR (figuratively speaking), so on a surface level, SJWs may feel pretty reasonable. All of that, however, would instantly crumble once they saw a queer person who didn't believe hating straight people would accomplish anything or a black/latin american/etc person who didn't support viewing all white people as inherently and irredeemably racist. Then a lot of these SJWs would either gaslight these individuals, despite having constantly preached to uplift marginalized voices.
Keep in mind that this is just my personal take

The problem I see with activism is when they take it too far. It is okay to protest but protest respectfully so as not to disrupt others’ lives. Far too often, I keep hearing radical activists claim that disrupting the lives of others, commit violent acts, and engage in property destruction will cause them to think and join their side. However, 99.9% of the time; it does the exact opposite. When that happens, i have seen radical activists become more aggressive, hate filled, and violent. I think the biggest problem we have come across isn’t climate changes, rights for certain groups, or simple disagreements within those groups, it’s the lack of taking responsibility for choices made. Everyone has a choice, might not be the easiest and can be the choice between to evils, but change cannot happen without choice. Good choices can’t happen without knowledge and knowledge is developed through lesson learned. It’s hard to take responsibility but it’s harder to feel like you have no control over a situation. So get control by taking responsibility of your actions.

When in reality most people are logical and live in reality and are realistic with the way they go about solving problems. Lol she literally explained you guys perfectly 😂😂. Exactly what she said about you guys you just showed in your comment on who you are 😂💀 LMAO I really hope you can let go of your hopelessness and anger and pain and enjoy life. It’s easy to get lost in the negative, but believe me this world is truly beautiful.

"The banal comment of Clean Your Room"... The fact that they consider this a "banal" comment demonstrates the very problem, as they just don't get what he even meant by that... As Dr Peterson went on to say, how can you fix the world's problems, when you can't address your own... "Clean Your Room" is analogy for getting your life in order (especially before trying to address the rest of world's problems), something these activists have simply never managed to do...

I just dealt with my Niece and Nephew becoming activist they were rude and disrespected me meanwhile they were unemployed I was trying to give them an easy living until they got their lives together and had a stable income but no they decided to bite the hand that feeds and I basically forced them to move out they thought I wasn't being serious once I gave them the eviction letters funny how fast the dropped their causes and begged to stay they didnt stay

Good! I love it when people put their foot down. I think a major problem today is people let things slid way too often, giving the impression that what the other person is doing is ok.

What needs to be talked about is how this woke ideology has spread into the government institutions in the west who also allow this behavior

Because it started in a very important institution: the university. From there it leaked really fast into social media and the media and big corporations adopted this mindset because they want to be updated with the latest trends of the youth.

@carolinesa91 correction it was rooted in the powerhouses that run the governments of the world and they manipulated the youth by starting it from Universities because they knew the youth in those institutions would later on form governments, organisations and literally the entire society. Plus, the media and big corporations DIDN'T ADAPT to anything. In fact, they were a part of this whole play that is being forced on our faces
